Im leaving for Haiti on May 9 and am doing my best to prepare for situations. Ive never tried to share the Gospel with another culture or language so I am a little nervous, but I do believe God will provide.
My reason for posting is that I was looking for some experience in this situation on how I might prepare as far as my methods go.
I do realize the most important thing is my focus and trust in Christ so prayer and bible time are vital. I do appreciate all prayers as well.
I also have been arranging my testimony in a simple way that any culture might understand, but I am still a little unsure as to what they will know (I am counting on the idea that they dont know anything).

What part of Haiti are you going to, mountains or city? If you are going to be in the hills please look up George and Caroline Truelove. Tell them that the folks at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church at Carraway said hello.
Plus we will be praying for your success as you seek to do God's work. -

Also I think Vodoo is a prevelant religion their. Very superstitious. I'd stay away from drinks other people prepare.

Thanks, I will avoid all offered drinks and so forth. I am going with a group who has been before, but I was just looking for some further advice if available.
