"In an extraordinary 11-page written testament, a former apostolic nuncio to the United States has accused several senior prelates of complicity in covering up Archbishop Theodore McCarrick’s allegations of sexual abuse, and has claimed that Pope Francis knew about sanctions imposed on then-Cardinal McCarrick by Pope Benedict XVI but chose to repeal them.

"Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò, 77, who served as apostolic nuncio in Washington D.C. from 2011 to 2016, said that in the late 2000s, Benedict had “imposed on Cardinal McCarrick sanctions similar to those now imposed on him by Pope Francis” and that Viganò personally told Pope Francis about those sanctions in 2013.

"Archbishop Viganò said in his written statement, simultaneously released to the Register and other media, (see full text below) that Pope Francis “continued to cover” for McCarrick and not only did he “not take into account the sanctions that Pope Benedict had imposed on him” but also made McCarrick “his trusted counselor.” Viganò said that the former archbishop of Washington advised the Pope to appoint a number of bishops in the United States, including Cardinals Blase Cupich of Chicago and Joseph Tobin of Newark.

"Archbishop Viganò, who said his “conscience dictates” that the truth be known as “the corruption has reached the very top of the Church’s hierarchy,” ended his testimony by calling on Pope Francis and all of those implicated in the cover up of Archbishop McCarrick’s abuse to resign."

Who cares about the internal operations of Rome? If crimes were committed, arrests need to be made and the guilty need to be in jail.

Pope Francis should resign the entire Roman Catholic Church into oblivion.

What did the Mormon Nelson do? I like Sandra Tanner but I do not keep up with Mormonism except to wonder if Romney is running it?

Pope Francis undid what Pope Benedict ordered and thereby engaged in a coverup. Pope Francis is a leftist--they do not pity anyone.

Nope. He is the dictator of his own nation and he can't commit crimes there.

They may be how he gets away with this. Pope Francis also reinstated some minor priests in Latin America that Pope John Paul II had sidelined for being communists. Pope Francis seems to be one who liked to overturn what previous popes had done, apparently without much consideration of what he was doing.

He is a king, as you suggest, so his moral turpitude may go unchallenged. Apparently, he has no shame.

A thought. I seem to remember that there was a rather notable prediction that Francis would be the last pope. Hmm...

Exactly so. He should resign, not because of the multiple sex scandals, terrible as those are, but because there is no office of 'pope' in the Bible, any more than that of 'cardinal,' 'archbishop,' 'monseigneur' or 'priest.'

The point is, Who cares who the Mormons or the Catholics have leading them? My only concern about either individual is if they committed crimes.

Saying they should resign assumes some legitimacy to their office in the first place. How does one profane a fake office?

Now there is a second witness.

Catholic News Agency said that Monsignor Jean-Francois Lantheaume, the former first counsellor at the apostolic nunciature in Washington D.C., has said that the former nuncio, Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano, told "the truth" in his explosive statement released to the press on August 25.

Of course, Pope Benedict retired and sanctioned Archbishop Theodore McCarrick in 2009 or 2010. Pope Francis lifted the sanctions in 2013.

Pope Francis, considered a Peronist and a follower of communist liberation theology, has declined to speak but did reimpose the sanctions against McCarrick, accused of habitual sexual misconduct. Cardinal Donald Wuerl of DC is denying that he knew of Pope Benedict's sanctions.

The Bishop of San Diego, Robert McElroy, was informed about McCarrick in 2016 but says that he did not know if the information was accurate.

Now if this were an Imam somewhere, would you be calling for his resignation, or the dissolution of Islam?

No, but then I disagree with Greear that Christians and Muslims worship the same God because I think that the god of Islam is a demon. Also, I think that the RCC is watered-down Christianity and not a cult like Mormonism. I don't know if Pope Francis is senile, nuts, or just wanting to do things his way. I think that he has lost face politically and I doubt if the calls for his resignation will succeed.

Some American Catholics are saying that based on statistics of aids deaths among Catholic clergy, the number of American priests, bishops and cardinals who are gay could be as high as 58% It is thought that even the Vatican is infested with homosexuals. Pope Francis, who said that he would have zero tolerance for sodomites and those who covered up for them, has now been shown to have engaged in a coverup himself. And his activities in coverup go back to his days in Argentina, where he is not so popular because of his close association with the brutal repressive government there.

Here is a video from Church Militant, Vortex, discussing the Pope and his history:

Now Church Militant, the Detroit-based articulate voice of conservative Catholics, reported on the 30th of August that Pope Francis has ordered Washington DC Cardinal Donald Wuerl to fly to Rome right now.

The reason is that Wuerl was the former bishop of Pittsburgh and moved priests around to cover up child molestations.

The US DOJ is considering opening up a national RICO case against the US Catholic Church and the trail leads to the Vatican.

It is possible that American Catholics, afraid that half the priests are sodomites, are weary of the coverup by Pope Francis, and the have begged the US government to prosecute. Wuerl would be arrested to answer charges in Pennsylvania.

The filth of homosexuality has reached the highest levels in the American Catholic Church. Many seminarians and others have been raped by priests, bishops, and cardinals.

American Catholics are going to protest the national meeting of their bishops in mid November in Baltimore.

Bishops and Cardinals and Pope Francis himself have covered up this homosexual filth for decades. Pope Francis engaged in coverups in both Argentina and the Vatican.

American Catholics should stop putting money in the collection plate until the rapists and criminals are turned over to the police along with the people who covered up these crimes. As Chaucer said, clean sheep, filthy shepherds.
