I said I liked the Mitch Miller version of Johnny comes marching Home. So TND posts an absolute falsehood, demonstrating his character and love of truth.
Those that deny slavery was the root cause of the civil war, or that the slavery practiced in the South is condemned in scripture are springs without water.

Springs without water address and disparage others rather than the topic which a Federal or National view of homeland.
The reason? They are pushing unbelievable falsehoods.

Slavery is not banned, or condemned in scripture.

More mindless twaddle from the good ol boys.
Slavery as practiced in the south is condemned in scripture as violating the do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Would you want to be kidnapped chained transported in the same place you urinate and defecate? The very idea someone would defend slavery as practiced in the south is repulsive and heinous. And to use sleight of hand switching the slavery addressed in scripture with the slavery practiced in the South is disgusting, vulgar and putrid. Is there no bottom to the depravity of the "good ol boys?" -

Good ole boys….
I grew up in Orange, Mass. -
Based solely on your posting behavior it appears your claim of growing up stretches the truth beyond recognition.

So that verse seems to be saying you can't kidnap people, the punishment is the same whether they are sold, or not. But at least now we are getting somewhere.
Were we sold slaves ? Or did we capture them ourselves ?
Thanx for the verse, prophet. -
Really getting old, isn't it, folks? -
One personal attack after another by TND. To support a position by using the logical fallacy of personal attack is the behavior of those pushing falsehood.
Now lets see, slavery was the root cause of the civil war. Each time this is denied, I repeat it. So both sides are "johnny one notes" but only one side uses it to disparage the other.
Has anything been offered to question that slavery was the root cause of the civil war? Nope. For example, folks fighting because of a federal versus national mindset, were motivated by the state secession over slavery.

I am reminded of the line, they will kick my teeth out, then kick me for mumbling. They address my behavior and say it is not a personal attack.
This simply demonstrates they have no respect for the truth.
Next we get the TND claim of mind-reading as in I am the only one on this board who thinks this that or the other. Twaddle.
They deny slavery caused the civil war over and over and then object to me pointing out that the denial is a racist myth.
EWF advocates the slavery of enlisted men, having to do whatever their leaders tell them. You could make him do your bidding. So unchristian it is pathetic. Some of these folks think lording it over someone is something to covet. No wonder they do not seem to see that the slavery practiced in the south was intolerable.
Absolutely no links have been posted that demonstrate the civil was was not caused by slavery. The succession statements clearly indicate the reason for secession was the issue of slavery, specifically the preservation of the right of the state to allow slavery.
I will defend truth and those who died to end slavery and the bully boy tactics of those pushing falsehood will not make me do pushups.

Instead, why dont you have a donut......we are fresh outa cream puffs! (thats the 1st thing to go when the army guys get here) -
Particularly now that, in one post, he's called us racists, slavers, impugned my military background and the military in general, and has lied that no one has posted anything proving him wrong.
But hey, we're just all here to have fun, right? :tonofbricks: -

More off topic posts simply disparaging me, devoid of content.
And lets review the false charges:
1) He called us racists. No quote. I did say your denial that slavery caused the civil war was a racist myth.
2) He called us "slavers." No quote. I did say it was wrong to defend the slavery practiced in the south.
3) He impugned my (TND) military background. No quote. I did say enlisted men were like slaves, having to do whatever their leaders demanded. Impugning the military class system (officers versus enlisted) hardly impugns anyone's military service.
4) Next we get the old putting words in my mouth nonsense, i.e. He would say I am cruel. No quote. I did say anyone who practiced the slavery of the south was cruel. In fact guilty of crime against humanity.
5) And of course I said the Southern leaders who took us into war rang among the most evil leaders in American history. Apparently that stepped on a lot of toes. :)
