Did you watch it? What did you do when all those bud commercials come on? What about the shots of the cheerleaders? Should you really have watched it?

Wal-mart.. Have you shopped there lately? If you have, did you walk by the magazine rack? If you did, did you take a peak at all those barely dressed women on the covers? Did you still keep shopping or did you take your business elsewhere? Not Wal-Mart? How about the groceries store? Hmmm...

Sorry couldn’t help myself, but hey a little sarcasm can be fun right? On a serious note, I think I can see where you are going with this and I can agree with some of your premise. That being said, I hope you can let personal convictions be personal convictions. God bless.

The idea of watching the superbowl was to watch the football game.

Ummm...Watched all but the first 5 minutes of the second half. Don't remember any shots of the cheerleaders for either team. As far as the beer commercials... What do you do when you are watching regular TV shows, or the evening news and beer commercials come on? Let me guess, we shouldn't watch news about the secular world, especially because of the secular advertising we might be exposed to.

Didn't watch a single second of the game. Pro sports are boring compared to college and high school sports.

Ditto. College football is far more interesting.

Too many cheerleaders in college ball.

Didn't watch the Stupid Bowl! I was in church! Sunday was the conclusion to our 2nd Anniversary services and we didn't roll a television in either

Brice... I have a bad habit of using exclamation marks on comments!!! You should read my personal emails!!! But I was using them for a good reason on the I was in church comment... I was very excited to be in church instead of watching football. Sorry if it was taken any other way

The Bible says, “Walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.” I don’t believe that any who is walking in the Spirit is going to waste away their Wednesday nights watching baseball on television.
-
Yep, I watched about half of it or less. I didn't care about either team so it wasn't that exciting for me this year.
I found some of the commercials alright, didn't see any that were fantastic like they used to be during the Super Bowl.
I don't remember seeing the cheerleaders either.
Should I really have watched it?
Like some others said, probably not, it wasn't that great. -
Craigbythesea,
How can you say that watching a football game is contrary to walking in the spirit? Based on your statement every christian that watched the game commited a sin because of the violation of that verse you say??
So, if that night i had a desire for a basking robbins then i sinned too? If i had a desire for watch a program on discovery channel or Cartoon Network then i sinned too?
Walking in the spirit is not determined by your TV habits. But your dependence and obedience to God and his Word.

Was watching a replay of it here in Australia late Monday evening while waiting for my son to ring home for a ride home, the phone ringing woke me....
