Tattoo parenting, Obama-style

    I'd laugh if one came home with an elephant tattoo on their arm.

    Or a donkey on their butt.

    I suppose when you do not have the Lord and His word to guide your family this is about as good a tactic as you can get.

    I have a tattoo. On my upper left arm. Got it in Freemantle, Australia in 1981. The colors still shine, they did a really good job. All three of my sisters have tattoos.

    My tattoo didn't affect my mom as much as my earring did, though. And I still stick one in, once in a while.

    Kinda reminds me of the wise dad whose 15 yo daughter wanted to get breast enlargement.
    Being the wise old codger he was, he knew flatly refusing would only lead to resentment & possibly rebellion.
    He therefore told her he would think about it and discuss it with mom, and let her know "tomorrow".
    Next day he said that he & mom had discussed it and it was fine with them, BUT only one hitch -

    "Honey, we're ok with the enlargement, but as you know finances are kinda rough right now so we can only afford to have one done at a time."

    Never heard another word about the subject
