STUDENT GETS DETENTION FOR ANTI-ABORTION SWEATSHIRT
(Chardon, Ohio-AP) -- A high school junior in suburban
Cleveland has been given Saturday detention for wearing an
anti-abortion sweatshirt to school.
Two students said they were offended by the "Abortion Is
Homicide" message on 17-year-old Bill Noyes sweatshirt. The back
of the sweatshirt reads: "You will not silence my message. You
will not mock my God. You will stop the killing of my generation.
Rock For Life."
Noyes was given detention Monday after he was ordered to
take off the sweatshirt or turn it inside out. With his mother's
permission, Noyes left Chardon High School instead. He said, "I
should not have to take off a shirt that explains my morals."

Well good for him! At least he stood up for what he believed! Praise the Lord for those who stand up, even if when they have to suffer for it.
I love it, were in Acts, how they were beaten and comanded not to teach or preach in Jesus name, and when they left, they must have still felt the call to preach, because the Bible says they ceased not to teach and preach in His name!
I have this one shirt that says American by birth, Christian by the grace of God. ANd an american flag with crosses in place of the stars. And maybe it's just were I live, but the only people that ever said anything were some of the kids. I just smiled, and kept walking.
But isn't it sad how when a Christian stands up for something people get all upset, yet a liberal can yell and run around saying "Abortion is the mother's choice."
I wonder...why don't we seem to have the same rights as everyone else? Why can't we have the same freedom of speach or press without the whole contry jumping on our heads? If only we did the same to them when they spread their liberal ideas.
I tell ya, America may be the best contry in the world, but there sure are a lot of things that really MAKE ME MAD!!!!!

Isn't it ironic that you can go almost anyplace today (grocery store, restaurant, etc.) and see sweatshirts and baseball caps with filthy sayings or curse words on them and no one seems to notice; much less say anything about???

Ah, but remember what Jesus said:
"All men will hate you because of me..." Matt. 10:22 (NIV)
So, 'consider it pure joy' when people go after you because you display your faith! ;) It's how we know we're on the right side, I think. You think no one but Christians gets harassed by liberal America today for a reason, don't you? -
It amazes me how kids (who are completely ignorant to all aspects of news, and who's only goal is to create controversy) can wear shirts in protest to our military men and wommen over seas protecting our freedoms and get praise from school administration for "celebrating their 1st Admendment Right," however when a student actually cares about what they are protesting and are doing it in a peaceable manner they can be suspended.
In my opinion that suspension is only a further testimony to our nation's decaying public school system. I believe that if a Christian can find an alternative to public school it is a must for he or she to take it. Thnx...
