I stress that anyone is innocent until proven guilty, yet just one query, if it was found that Terri Schiavo's husband had in fact pushed her down the stairs causing her injuries, and had then tried to have the life support turned off to prevent her from saying what had happened, would he be given the death penalty?
Do U.S state governments apply the death penalty in cases of Attempted Murder?
If he could no longer care less about what happens to her, why not accept the 1.2 million and transfer her gaurdianship to her parents?

I am not a lawyer, but I will tell you what I think. If it was proved that he pushed her down the stairs causing her brain damage, I think that would be attempted murder which, by itself, would not warrant the death penalty under law. However, his actions to starve her to death and finish the job, would be out and out murder and would certainly warrant the death penalty. Of course, one would have to prove the attempted murder before one could prove the actual murder.

Is there anything controversial in Australia that you can concern yourself with? Like maybe the opression of the Aborigines?

Can we say busy body? :D

Hi Donna. Have a great day.

The word "busybody" is a scriptural word:
1 Peter 4:15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.
2 Thessalonians 3:11 For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.
1 Timothy 5:13 And withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.
Hmm, tattlers too.

yep, I pointed that out.
Anyway. If the husband is guilty of something and she dies he gets off free. you would think with so much suspicions surrounding this someone in the legal system would be interested in the truth of what happened to her, evn if it turned out he did nothing. And if he did do nothing to her you'd think he'd want everyone to know that, since now everyone suspects him.
have a nice day pastor Greg. -
I am a little off topic but will take the opportunity to speak my opinion.
If I were Governor Bush I would send the State Police in and tell the judge that if he wanted the feeding tube removed to come do it himself and then arrest him for attempted murder.
We are no longer a Republic but an oligarchy run by the Judiciary. -
What gets me is that they aren't going to be able to try and feed her by mouth after they disconect her.Is this getting to where if your mom is at home dying, they are going to come in and tell you to stop feeding her???? This is MURDER!!!!
-
Mark, a person who is fed with a feeding tube cannot be fed by mouth. That is the reason they have a feeding tube.

I think we all ought to fervently pray that God would allow this dear woman to "wake up"....THAT would truly be JUSTICE...and then she could have her say!! Our God IS in the miracle working business!

But, Terri has not been tested for years. The parents want to have a new procedure tried to get her to be able to be fed by mouth after the feeding tube is removed, but the judge denied that request. That is horrible and she should not be dehydrated to death (since that will kill her before lack of food will). We would go to jail for doing that to a dog. We would not execute convicted murderers this way, so why do we turn a blind eye when it is done to someone like Terri?

I thought I had heard either she could some,or was trying something new.Of crouse that is why you would have a tube.
