On Thursday night, speaking with Chris Matthews on MSNBC’s "Hardball,” Virginia governor Terry McAuliffe boasted that if he ever debated President Trump, and Trump leaned over him the way he did with Hillary Clinton in a presidential debate, McAuliffe would deck him, and someone would have to “pick him up off the floor.”

Can you imagine what people would be saying if Trump had said something like this?

Terry made a threat he didn't actually punch him, so did Trump (I voted for him) make such a threat

FWIW
How foolish is the progressive marxist press. They are caught up in the phenomena of Donald Trump.
A "phenomena" does not follow the standard rules and can NEVER be made to do so.
In fact quite often just the opposite effect occurs when an attempt is made to suppress it and one would think that they (progressives) are smart enough to see that is what is happening here.
The more they try to topple him the more his core increases (they will never publicly admit that).
No man in modern history has had the notoriety of Trump.
The modern press has broadcast his persona all over/around the globe via smartphone.
Somehow they believe that their avalanche of insults will diminish him but in spite of "phenomena proof" they continue to unknowingly increase his popularity by the tactic of "shock and awe" calumniation.
There is only one strategy to overcome the Trump phenomena - offer someone better.
