This new Bible is certainley getting some media attention at the moment, it is similar in some ways to The Message. Here is a sample.
A Tormented Man (Luke 4:31-37)
Jesus went to Capernaum (also in the Galilee shire). And on a Saturday he began to teach the mob there. They were staggered because this clearly was a bloke that knew what he was talking about.
In the Jewish Meeting Hall there was a bloke with a spirit of a devil in him who yelled out "Oy, Jesus of Nazereth!, have you come to do us in? I've got your number - you're the Promised One of God arent you?"
But Jesus cut off this racket by saying, "Silence! Leave this bloke and shove off." Then the bloke fell in a heap, and the devil of a spirit nicked off, leaving him without a scratch.
That took everyones breath away. "What is this?" they all said. "this bloke says 'Jump!' and they say 'How High?' Amazing!" And soon the gossip mills were grinding out this latest news about Jesus.

To the rest of the English speaking world we would need our Aussie/English or Aussie/American dictionary to hand :D .
I figured would drop some humour in before certain posters are up and at it. -
do you speak, Brother Christ4Kildare?
One time i was stationed in Charleston,
South Carolina. I was the translator
of the Charleston dialect for the
grout with which i worked. I guess my
Okie dialect was close enough, or maybe
the rednecks in Charleston spake rather
close to Ebonics, or something.
When i was in basic i confounded the
guys from West Virgina. I had the
southern guy make a list
of ten occurance of ALL or OIL.
He read it. I wrote down the list.
My list matched the southern guy.
The West Virgins were shocked, they
couldn't hear the difference .
Ah well, nearly ALL the OIL in Oklahoma
is gone or hard to get.

S&T:
At least we can find this one humorous. Can't do that with the message.
