Sue, I have a grandson story to tell, too.

Jon is 11..He is supposed to be working at his Dad's store. Yesterday, he was watching cartoons..Dad told him to stop watching cartoons and turn off the TV. Later, when Jon and I were alone. I asked why won't your Dad let you watch cartoons.

Jon replied, Dad thinks that it will distract me from my work. Oh, I replied, what are you supposed to be doing? Reply, "nothing"

Well, you get the picture. Cartoons distracting him from doing Nothing...Uhmmmm I wonder what he was supposed to be doing.

Hey, Gib, I'm going to send my grandson over to help you do "nothing" He is very good at it.

Did Ed say that I could only do one thing at a time? Don't tell him that I really can do more than one thing at a time. He might put me to work.

My the shop seems so much quieter these days, any idea why? is it the coffee? is it the DDP? or did some one not stock the regular irnbru? no one has mentioned that recently. or ..........

any suggestions

Don't look now, jonmagee---but---your picture is gone again!! At least its gone from my monitor---let me check---yes, Mrs. Thankful's is there, Sweet Sixteen's is there--but yours is missin'---

And ya'll wanted me to call off the posse!! There's just a few more miles of territory to ride over--see, I'm coverin' the broad spectrum of the United States inch by inch--until I corner the culprit--hopefully whoever it is will turn themselves in quietly--but I look for some form of hostility! A couple of my boys have quit--wanted to go home---I sent them walkin'---Barnabas--I'll need that horse--see if you can catch him for me--I've got a rider that is anxious to see justice served and they know that Blackbird can serve it with a vengenence---

now remember--the closer I get to the suspect--the more "jittery" they may become--they may try anything---that's why Blackbird didn't post any sort of picture for his id---that way, the suspect will never be able to pick me out of the crowd in my posse!! I'll just mix and mingle with my boys! But I'll know them---the very minute I set my eyes on um!!!

More updates later--got a lot of ground to cover! Runnin' out of beans---horses runnin' out of sweet feed---everybody hungry---but we must press on!!

OK, Gib, you ridin' with me, boy! Here, you take this Appaloosa I'm on---I'll take the Quarter Horse--Sweet Sixteen promised Sweet Feed "all around" for the horses, fresh canteens of water, and a place to rest for a minute at the coffee shop--I don't know what my Quarter Horse is gonna do when she finds out that she can't come in the shop with me---the shop is off limits to equine and bovine animals---the owner of the shop would throw a "hissy fit" if she found out Blackbird has done messed up the shop--so to be on the safe side---the horses stay outside---it'll be bad enough me goin' in---not havin' a bath since Sunday when the posse started ridin'---

Meet me at the Coffee Shop around 10pm---its safer to ride at nite--cooler on the horses too!

See you then!

I think I need a few coyboys out here to round up all these kids and get 'em to stay in bed! LOL
I counted a total of twenty going in and out of rooms, which is very odd since there's only five. :eek:

Out here in the wild west---we have what we call "Bull Whips!"---but the thing about it is---now that my boy is 8 years old, I don't have to use it all that often anymore! A big chew of Red Man gets him reeeeeeeeeeeal quiet!!!! The next time you're at the supermarket---since you're not 21 yet---you'll need to get somebody to go in and buy you a pack---"America's Best Chew! Hoo! Hoo!"

Hey, this is the wild west!! It get too tough out here for "Double Bubble!"--besides, it makes ya look tough!!!!!!!!

Good idea, thanks! They've all quieted down except for the occasional shriek. I had to go in the closet and banish whatever was hiding in there. Unfortunately it's a walk in with two doors in front and one doesn't open and I tripped inside and fell against it so they all thought the "thing" was attacking me, but I made them all look inside and I think the whole incident tired them out more than enough. LOL
I should be sleeping myself, but wanted this precious alone time with "big people".

And it's so nice and cool out now, seems a shame to sleep and miss it after a hot sticky day of high 80's!
