Get the scene now--

Blackbird walks into the coffee shop--ideas galore in his head---takes two steps in and looks around--

"Whoooooooooooooo in Sam Hill moved my tractor parts?? I had um all layin' here real nice and neat--parts went with part numbers--everything was in order when I left!! Bless Moses!! I can't leave for one halelujah second without somebody comein' along and tinkerin' with my stuff!! There's at least 30 gallons of red died diesel missin'--guess I'll have to check the kitchen!! Somebody doesn't like Blackbird's inventions and engin-u-ity! And where are my tools and grease gun???? It ain't were I layed them last!! Ya'll are gonna feel awefully funny when ya'll have to start yellin' at each other--just to muffle out the sound of Blackbird's air impact wrenches!!!

Well, I've had anonomous letter writers write me before--one more time won't kill me!!

Its gettin late here--I just got home a couple of hours ago from our little Senior Adult retreat--wife and I had the kids--took them to the beach and some sort of Marine Life exhibition while close to Gulfport/Biloxi--had a good time!! I'll be around around 5am tomorrow--I'll have the coffee good and hot and strong--strong makes me want to start the day "bear huntin' with a switch!"

I'm thinkin' about movin' my tractor shop next door--some folks don't like it that I'm invadin' the coffee shop--but---when ya'll see business rackin' up and Blackbird "haulin'" in the dough(as in money)--I guess ya'll all are gonna want in on his little "John Deere Pyramid"--ain't ya'll??

Have a good nite! See ya'll in the morning!!

Blackbird's back,; we're busted.

Want to guess who's in line to get the first switchin'?

I have 306½ shares in the Katfish Korner. Any buyers before I slink away to avoid the Wrath of Crowe?

Blackbird...it was a mess in here when I came back. It took me a day and a lot of help to clean this up!

So we decided that we would let you have a Tractor Parts catalog business. But you are going to have to work it. rsr said he would help.

See you in the morning.

I sometimes order tractor parts from catalogs--there's one company over in Louisiana that has catalog sales--they're a Christian company. When they put you on hold on the phone they'll play that Christian background music--songs like "Onward, Christian Soldiers" and "Trust and Obey!" I don't care if they have the part or not--nor how long it takes "Fred" to go back to the back and look for it---I"ll sing along with whatever's playin'.

OK! OK! I'll settle for a catalog store--folks can call me for parts---but see, I've thought that through too! Number 1--catalog stores ain't the same as the real thing---when men come in to the parts store, they like to "run their hands" over the latest tool and gadget--pick it up and see how it feels in their hands! They want to twist and turn--see if its gonna break in the store or if they can make it home without it breakin' or bustin' or somethin'!

Number 2--orderin' from a catalog ain't the same as the real thing---men want to sit on the tractor! Crank it up and then revv it up. Make diesel fumes belch out of the exhaust stack. When men look at a tractor in a catalog and the catalog says, "Buy me!"--well, the man don't know exactly what he's gonna be gettin'! He orders a John Deere 2030 55 horsepower tractor and the day UPS comes with the delivery--its a yard lawnmower! Somethin's gone haywire in the order! And then he has to pay for the return!!

Now, if ya'll will just settle down a minute ole Blackbird will give ya'll a demonstration of the latest tractor he has just received on consignment and I guarantee--some lucky man(or woman) is gonna see the demonstration and be glad to "take it off of Blackbird's hands!" I just received a Catapillar trac/backhoe fresh off the "Lowboy" tractor/trailer early this mornin' while ya'll were sleepin'! I drove it off the delivery trailer myself--surprised it didn't wake any of ya'll up!!

Now, if ya'll will just gather around right outside the front door by the sidewalk while ole Blackbird cranks his latest "Jewel" up! OK! Here it goes--I'm turnin' the starter key . . .! What's that?? I can't hear ya'll!! You're gonna have to get up in my ear or yell a little louder!!!!!!!

Your Southern Baptist preachin', backhoein' buddy,
Blackbird

Good Morning All!

Blackbird...In Cape Girardeau, MO, there is a John Deere place. I use to have to go there with my late Husband...remember he drove a Kamatzu 750. Loved digging dirt and mowing with it. That was the most boring place I ever was. I was always ready to take a nap. Nothing exciting about it. And no matter what part it was...we always had to go back a second time to get it. It was never there the first time. same thing at the Harely shop.

I never once wanted to handle the parts. But I did one time want a quarter for some chicklet gum in the machine.

Dexter, MO has a huge John Deere Store now. Doesn't look anything like Walmarts parking lot.

Morning All;

rsr: There is a little building out in the back with a crescent shaped moon on it. Now that blackbird is back, I think I'll move 'Katfish Korner" out there!

blackbird: It was all rsr's idea to get rid of the Bass Boutique in favor of Katfish Korner! Honest it was! :D

Sherrie: It is only 41 degrees here this morning. I'm just gonna chill today. (pun intended)

I will drop back in later, I've got to find my long johns!

Lady with the goosebumps,
Sue

OK, here's the thing, I have borrowed a push mower from a preacher friend, he called this morning needing it back....can you believe his nerve!!!!!!!!!!
laugh.gif
I have tried to take it back on several occassions and he refused to take it...another conspiracy, he claims he needs it to mow a particular rough yard for an elderly neighbor
saint.gif
....YEAH RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!...Well, it is HIS MOWER!!! :D ; so, Blackbird...got any deals on a good mower????????? I'm kinda in a fix...oh, yeah, what about delivery?? :D
