Hi Joseph! No, you aren't required to drink coffee. My drink of choice is Dr. Pepper. How are things in your area of the state? It is warm and sunny in the NW corner today. Do you have many band activities this time of the year?
It is sunny and beautiful here in the Little Rock area. We have solo and ensemble contest coming up in a few weeks and then the Spring concert and graduation after that. Not much else happening other than that except for trying to help seniors get more scholarship money for college. We have been very successful at that so far. Oh yeah, I will also be teaching at band camp one week this summer at Arkansas Tech University and we are working really hard to get as many kids from our school to go as possible. What are you up to these days?

Everything is going well here. It has been busy at work. I work at a bank and the last couple weeks we have had federal bank examiners, just a routine exam but still requires extra work from us. I am glad you are back on the board again. You were one of the first posters to greet me when I started here.

Sherrie,

This is "The Coffee Shop's" bouncer speakin'--I see a fella over in the corner by the plate glass window who ain't orderin' coffee!! As many brands as you have to offer--and he ain't gonna go for any brand--says all he wants is "cocoa"--I think its time I go to his table and "have a little chat" with this Joseph fella--see if I can get him to make a move toward some of that expensive coffee--you're loosin' money on that cheap Cocoa you're lettin' him buy!!--
rsr and rodh will be comin' buy for the rent--and if you ain't got it--they're gonna come lookin' for me--so I just had to let you know about that cocoa fella!! Wait . . . he's lookin' this way!! Act casual!

Just give me the word!

PS--How did church go guys??

Your Southern Baptist preachin', coffee shop bouncin' buddy!

Put em up!!!!!! ;)

Looky here, buddy. I don't buy none of that cheap ole Carnation Cocoa. I buy the good stuff, like Godiva. I just have never liked the taste of coffee. I sure do enjoy the smell of it at Barnes and Noble though. I don't even think I can explain that one...

I like Hot chocolate. I love Hot chocolate. But now its getting to hot outside. So I am going to start leaning to the Ice Tea and Lemonade.

So whats the best lemonade? Anyone know?

I love lemonade!!!!!!!!! The best kind is the kind you can get at Riverfest in Little Rock during the Orchestra Pops in the river concert and fireworks. Now that is refreshing.

Coffee is like a cigar. Love the smell of coffee in the morning. But, cannot stand the taste. The smell carries some good memories. There's nothing better than the smell of a good cigar. But, cannot stand the taste. Memories there too.

Lemonade? I like Chic-filet. But I'm not sure about store bought mixtures.

I usuall sip on diet dew, or sierra mist with crushed ice. I hope Blackbird will make an exception.

Is it freshly squeezed. Probably not because they have to serve so many. I wonder what kind it is?

I am going to end up being a connoisseur of lemonade. I am looking for perfection in lemonade. Not too sweet...not too sour. So what do you drink at home?

Sherrie

Ok I see you said "I like Chic-filet". We do not get that. But now I will be looking for it.

Mornin' Everyone!

For 'instant' lemonade, I like "Country Time". About the only time we make 'fresh squeezed' anymore is when we have family picnics or reuntions...then we make it in big five-gallon crocks.

Iced tea...I make 'sun tea' outside, a gallon every day. If the sun is not shining, then I make 'cloud tea'.

Today it will be sun tea because it is going to be a beautiful 80 degrees with the sun shining! I am going to do the laundry and hang the clothes outside. Mmmmmmmmm, nothing smells as good as sheets dried outside in the sun! (Now, I don't want no blackbirds flying over my sheets either...if you git my drift)

See all you good friends tomorrow morning. Same place, same time.

Sister,
She and my girl made it home safe and sound--had a good time at their GA camp--she won't know nothin' about the ribs until she gets a "hankerin'" for um, goes to the freezer and they ain't there!! "What happened to the dad-blame ribs I had in here??"

Now, gettin' back to the bouncer job! Please don't give me my "pink slip" just because there's a sign outside the shop that says "coffee" and yet inside we serve lemonaide, cocoa, pepsi, dr Pepper and all the other side drinks--You've got to have a bouncer for somethin'! I spent a lot of money to get a "bouncer" license--Chuck Norris School of Bouncin', Arnold Swartsniger's School of Bustin' Knuckles, etc.

I tell ya what! I'm just gonna stand over there by the cash register--and I'll be in charge of makin' signs to tape up all over the front counter by the register that says, "No Credit Allowed! Don't even ask!!"(I see those signs up all over Mississippi's Mostly "Dad and Mom" stores)

Look yonder! That fella over there by the plate glass window--he's winkin' and noddin' his head in this direction--its one of those "winkin' and noddin' my head in your direction" things that is tellin' me "I ain't got no money to pay for my cocoa and lemonaide!!"

And OOOOHHHHH my gosh!! There's rsr and rodh comin' in the door now! They're dressed in their "Guerilla" disguises--but I recogniz' them--both of um flunked out of Chuck Norris' school--and I think they're jealous of me because I was Valdictorian!!

But, nnnoooooooooo!!! You won't let me practice my license on any customers--and now I am as soft as butter--and the guy over in the corner by the plate glass window--he's gulpin' that scaldin' hot cocoa down like it was ice water in the hot Alabama August sun!!!

AAAAWWWWWWW!!!! THEY'RE ON ME!! ALL THREE OF UM!! WHERE'S THE KEY TO MY "G" CABINET WHEN I NEED IT!!!!(scuffle, scuffle, scuffle! crash!--there goes the 13inch black and white tv set I brought 'cha--so customers can watch "Alabama" football!! Now what am I gonna say to all of my "Paul Bear Bryant buddies"??)

Your Southern Baptist preachin', takin' a beatin' buddy,

Sister--

I'm sorry!

Lookin' forward to Easter--I know that the Lord Jesus Christ can turn every one of our "Dark Calvary's" into a Son Risin' Easter--and bless God--the Lord Jesus didn't walk that lonesome Via Delaroso all by Himself--Read the story of Abraham and his son, Isaac--a "Countdown to Calvary"--where Abraham comments to his servants--"I and the lad will go yonder and worship and will return unto you!"---

3 things as Abraham's statement looked forward by faith--to the comin' Messiah

1--The Father was with the Son every step of the way!

2. There was sure to be a sacrifice--Isaac's in a figure--Jesus' in reality!

3. There was sure to be a resurrection--Isaac's in a figure--Jesus' in reality!!

Your Faithful Southern Baptist!

OK, OK, Blackbird; that does it. Only decaf for you from now on. You're way too jumpy.
