Lately I have been conflicted with Martin Luther King Jr.'s person. ;not the human being man, but the Christian. I have found it very difficult to separate his sacrifices as a human being from his confession of faith. I don't know, maybe I am being too harsh on the man. I found this conservative Christian blog that has an opposite opinion of mine. I don't agree with him especially with his parallel using Peter.
Unfortunately, culturally speaking it was (nor is it still) unusual for a person to have "outside interests."
King, Kennedy(es), and J. Edgar Hoover were no exception.
These men were purposely placed in time by God to fulfill the purpose and then removed.
In their day, Gingrich and Cain would have no scandalous media attention.
Was King saved?
Probably.
Was he moral?
No
Was he a hero? No
King did not give his life for the U.S.
He was murdered.
Just as the three students in Mississippi were murdered.
Dr King was a man used great fashion by God,, who was one of the founders of a great cause of Justice in USA, in that he was part of the US officially recognising Black peoples as being endowed by their Creator with rights SAME way as whites are!
believe that he was saved by grace of God, but was also a man who at times decided to do the wrong times, by sinning against the lord...
It appears that God had protected him long enough to have his plan and will worked out for DR King, than the Lord allowed him to belilled off and sent home!
looks like we have to at that point honor and respect the man for what he did and accomplished, but NOT able to portray him as either a brother in the Lord, nor one to lift up in community for christian values/morals!
