    As a life long bibliophile I agree, but today my laptop gives me access to a thousand times more information than the largest paper library in the world. Just http://www.ccel.org/ gives us more access than the very best University/Seminary library in the country. :)

    True, but in addition to all at your fingertips your local library can provide you to access databases that you could not afford the subscription price. Also, your local library can provide hundreds of new books that you can checkout, download and read free. Great deal? ;)

    The library is also the great equalizer for those without resources.
