George Washngton was the first president under our current constitution. However, he was not the first president of the United States of America. There were a number of presidents under the Articles of Confederation
    • (1782) John Hanson
    • (1783) Elias Boudinot
    • (1784) Thomas Miffin
    • (1785) Richard Henry Lee
    • (1786) John Hancock
    • (1787) Nathan Gorman
    • (1788) Arthur St. Clair
    • (1789)[1] Cyrus Griffin

Hanson was not president of the United States; he was president of Congress (president of the united states in congress assembled); the government had no executive branch under the Articles of Confederation.

He also was not the first person to serve as president of Congress under the Articles of Confederation, which became effective February-March 1781. Samuel Huntington (president of the last Continental Congress) continued in office for a while after ratification, and Thomas McKean served for a few months before Hanson's election.

Hanson, BTW, wanted to resign shortly after his election because of the frustrating nature of the ceremonial position (which included a lot of paperwork but little authority -- certainly nothing like the current speaker of the House has) but stayed on because Congress didn't have a quorum to elect a successor.

He was also deep in the cult. He was foremost a Freemason and was the in charge of creating Washington DC.

George Washington was a Mason, that does not mean he was evil or not a great man and Christian imo ..
