The New Black Panthers display this flag as they call for race war and the death of Whites.

If THAT flag has been flown by a group of states trying to secede from the United States, then it too is one of treason. And according to their site, that's not their flag.

    Nice false equivalency though.

No, not secession of a group of states. They call for Black separatism and the death of non-Blacks. Apparently that type of treason is not a problem.

In the sense that a symbol has been hijacked by racist haters? Not false equivalency at all.

To answer the questions of the flag purists. Yes I am referring to the confederate flag/rebel flag in my OP (the one much maligned by the PC crowd), I have always been under the impression it was called the stars and bars.

That being said I have observed some variations:

    (1) one with Hank Jr. in the center of the flag.
    (2) one with an 18-wheeler in the center.
    (3) another one with the words "I ain't coming down".

That's not treason. If that's treason, then a whole lot of folks, black and white commit treason. As it stands, what you're talking about has NOTHING to do with Constitutional treason against the United States.

SO now you're admitting that the Confederate Army Battle flag is about racism?

What are you yappin about? That a "racist" symbol is alright if it's not treasonous? If so, the "stars & stripes" was a flag of treason and it supported racism for many decades.

Don't feel too bad about that. It's a very common misconception.

I always wondered why Jr wasn't sued for trademark infringement by the good folks at Sturm, Ruger & Co, since he's been ripping off their logo for the last forty years.

I originally posted something else before this but, out of curiosity, I looked it up and, apparently, the logo belongs to the artist, not the company and the artist allows him to use it because they're friends.

There you go. Your trivia for the day.

The Black Panthers have called for armed revolution and the overthrow of the US government. Pretty much textbook treason.

I said that it had been hijacked as symbol. KKK.

The Black Panthers will also be the first to avow to you that they and the NEW Black Panther Party aren't the same.

Not really. It's been hijacked by folks who are claiming it as their heritage when it's not the flag of the confederacy.

The KKK claimed it before the current group of rebel flag heritage types.

"The New Black Panther Party is a virulently racist and anti-Semitic organization whose leaders have encouraged violence against whites, Jews and law enforcement officers." [Southern Poverty Law Center].

The original Black Panthers encouraged revolution and overthrow of the US government. Both the original and new Black Panthers fly the flag depicted in an earlier post. Therefore according to your logic, it is tainted by treason and should not be displayed.

You are mistaken. You can look at photographs of Civil War Reunions over the years, and Confederate veterans usually displayed their regimental battle flags, what we today would call the Rebel Flag.

Naturally, you would feel this way! But there are those who feel opposite of you, and that is what America is all about. So, enough of your racist views. Get a life or find a new county to live in! :BangHead:

    That's not treason.

    This would be treason.

Again, it's a treasonous display as well as a symbol of racism.

Constitutionally and factually, he is just wrong. But that's never stopped him before.

It's all about emotion and that's all he's got. Even that is fake.

Are you a cowardly tapeworm to answer my question? It goes thus:
What are you yappin about? That a "racist" symbol is alright if it's not treasonous? If so, the "stars & stripes" was a flag of treason and it supported racism for many decades.

The American flag is a racist symbol? This should make it plain to every reader here what a few of us had indicated.
