    The Bible is the authority and always has been for me. You assume too much! For example if a book (many by charismatics) lack scripture depth and are therefore trash. I even read a book by a IFB pastor with the same problem. Poor exegesis! Books are not the authority the Bible is.

    It's not that I think Mac is infallible or Washer is infallible because they are not. I have communicated this many times here.

    What did Peter mean when he said Jesus was the Messiah he gave them that fact what was that supposed to mean to them?
    What did Paul mean when he said the gospel is the power of God resulting in Salvation.
    Salvation from what ?
    why is it the power of God in reference to what?

    I am not trying to catch you, or jump on your words. I believe this is an important issue and a major defect in many churches in our country.
    you did say this;
    Yes he did...but I believe he did much more than that for all of us...not just Israelites.
    BB...even our good works, are ordained by God eph2:10....what determines a "good work"?...the law
    romans 13:
    8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

    9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

    10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

    Love to God, love to neighbor...is based on law and law keeping.
    The sermon on the mount is a blueprint of living in the kingdom as we are called to be saints in that Kingdom here and now.

    BB...you mentioned righteousness correct? What is the standard that determines righteousness?....could it be ....THE LAW?

    But the evangelism methods in the tracts varies. I know people that will only use one type of tract.
