    Dear Friend, any pope is only infallible when he teaches ex catherdra.

    I agree with our statement below. However, according to RCC dogma, Church Mouse is correct. From my understanding, when a pope speaks ex-cathedra, he uses a formal phrase that makes it clear he is doing so.

    The RCC insists on a celibate priesthood, probably for financial reasons. This forces them to accept the worldwide Lavender Mafia--the one third or so of priests who are actively gay. The RCC is so weak that they have not been able to make any reforms in the last 500 years. Catholic countries are seldom prosperous in my opinion.
