GOP slams White House aide who reportedly made $100G off firm tied to Iran
Republicans pounced on a report Monday that said top White House adviser David Plouffe took a $100,000 speaking fee from an Iran-tied firm whose technology may have been used to track dissidents, claiming Plouffe's involvement could represent a "loophole" in sanctions against the regime.
The White House rejects the notion that anything improper took place. According to The Washington Post, Plouffe was paid for two speeches he made in Nigeria in December 2010 about a month before joining the White House -- and apparently before the company hosting him started coming under heavy scrutiny from the Obama administration. The White House has confirmed the speeches.
But the company's dealings with Iran were nevertheless known at the time. Plouffe, a senior White House adviser who ran Obama's 2008 campaign, reportedly accepted $100,000 from a subsidiary of South African telecom company MTN Group. That company formed a joint venture with Iran in 2005 which, according to the Post, was thought by one former Treasury official to be controlled by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps.

Well, Iran and North Korea are great trading partners and allies. We need to learn who our friends are. A good start would be to close the embassies in Tel Aviv, London, Sydney, Paris, and Bonn.

So what? He bagged a hundred grand for a couple speeches on behalf of some foreign company.
Kind of dumb for the republicans to pounce on this when they got a passle of people rubbing elbows with and giving speeches for big money on behalf of a known terrorist group.
Read all about it.
Here's a peek. The Post report further reveals that the anti-Iran terror group has enlisted “some of the biggest names in US politics and national security,” including former homeland security secretary Tom Ridge, former Joint Chiefs chairman Hugh Shelton, former FBI director Louis Freeh, former UN envoys John Bolton and Bill Richardson, former US attorney general Michael Mukasey, former speaker of US House of Representatives and recent Republican presidential contender Newt Gingrich, as well as Mitchell Reiss, a former State Department official who has been one of the top foreign policy advisers to the current Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney since 2008. Rendell, Giuliani, Mukasey as well as Gingrich were among 16 high-profile US officials that flew to Paris last month for a pro-MKO event. In a video published by the terrorist group, Gingrich is seen bowing to MKO’s co-leader Maryam Rajavi. Afterward, according to the report, “Gingrich appealed for ‘decisive action’ by the United States on the group’s behalf.”
The democrats are just as guilty of supporting terrorist groups. It's official policy in Libya and Syria. That would make it a consensus wouldn't it?
Mr. David Plouffe's only mistake seems to be taking money from an Iranian tied organization. Bet ole Dave feels like an idiot now. Anti-Iranian terrorist organization's are where the real money is these days. -

If Romney does win, and really is opposed to abortion, gay rights, gun control, and government run health care, unlike his record in MA, things could improve. If Obama is reelected, there is no chance for the economy, no chance of pro life, pro traditional marriage, or limited gun control. -
