I'm the first to agree that healthcare costs are way to high. The reason they are high has nothing to do with Obamacare however. They were too high before and they are too high now. They are high because hospitals and doctors overcharge for there services.
The person in this particular story also made poor choices. He cut his finger, and after two days he didn't feel it was healing properly. He then went to the emergency room. What was the emergency? There was none. He should have booked time with his normal doctor, or gone to an urgent care center if he didn't have one.
If he had gone to a normal doctor, or an urgent care center, the bill wouldn't have been nearly as high. -

Why doesn't this surprise me.....see my wife went into the emergency room and subsequently in a hospital bed ((no surgery though) for 5 days and I was presented with a bill of $85k for the stay. Rediculous!:laugh:
