He had something else written in there earlier. I guess he decided to remove it.

I know saturneptune well. We're fellow deacons at the same church.
He's a 70's kinda guy. -
Is he spaced out - oh, no, he couldn't be - that's a 60's term.
What was the 70's - disco, bell bottoms, love beads, tie-die, ... -

I deleted the wrong post, sorry about that. My post said when the movie came out, my parents would not allow me to watch it. It must have been the late 60s. I gave the movie no thought until the other day, when my wife and I were flipping through channels. I recongnized the music. We watched about ten minutes of it, and could stand no more. I saw nothing that reflected postively on the Gospel. Did anyone see the whole movie, and was there anything in the film besides sarcasm of the Scripture?

I was about 16 and a new Christian living in a suburb of Chicago when I saw Superstar. Some time in the early to mid 1970's
I enjoyed it but recognized a few significant problems with the play.
I too saw the film version on cable not that long ago.
Maybe the play was better but the film was horrid
Eatting our vegetables, tattoos, long hair, flossing.... I guess we can add goinig to see "Jesus Christ Superstar" to the list of things our parents were right about.

At least not as bad as the 'last temptation of Christ!" -
I remember seeing part of it on TV when I was just a teenager. I wasn't churched or saved at the time, but it just seemed wrong to me. I remember Mary Magdalene singing "I don't know how to love you" to Jesus and knew that wasn't right. I don't know how I knew it was wrong, just did.

The funny thing about Baptist Board members is that they can talk on a topic even when there isn't one. Bwahahahahah.
