Or give them a job breaking down, reassembling, and conditioning to optimum use, old WWII typewriters to including inking and rewinding the tape....... Ha! HA! Then they could get in a mess if they wanted to, have no problem staying occupied with details, but do little damage to our country or its infrastructure of economy, government, or constitution.

Clocks like the old fashiones spring wind up kind...... like Timex, Seth Thomas, Big and LIttle Bens? How about requiring them to make adjustments on hundreds of assortments until they all ran at the same speed and would sound their alarms together? ........and no compensation until they completed their work and proved it.

But as long as he can get input from his "sponsors" before he has to respond, he can fake it very well!!
I have a sneaking suspicion that was the reason for his delay in responding to the Ft Hood incident - other than "Let's not jump to conclusions", that is. -
I really like that. I would also suggest that the Federal Government be required to balance their budget every year like some states do. That would help cut some of the wasteful spending.
-
Quickest way to get spending under control is to bring the troops home and put some of them to work searching containers at the major ports and on the Mexican border. This would cut our deficit in half.
-
If the congressmen are conservative, we could poke air holes in the containers.
If they are liberal...why bother? -
You want to kill the people this democratic republic recently elected to lead us? Would you replace them by another election? Or by a OPC/right wing Baptist coup?
Boggles my mind that all you Constitutionalist Right Wing Republicans are most unhappy after our recent free and open national election. Apparently the majority of American citizens disagree with you. Going back to the failed Goldwater revolution, how many chances you want? And wasn't it Reagan who put us most firmly on the road to bankruptcy?
Wire story today noted that it is costing a million bucks a year to keep a GI in Afghanistan. I suspect we could hire some Russian or Zimbabwe troops at a quarter of the cost to do our "peacekeeping" for us. -

I do not think you write satire. I think you mean every word as written.
The topic was the economy. -

Good night. Some folks have their shoes tied way too tight, espcially one who lives in Washington State.

He thinks what he wants to think regardless of the reality. It gives him a certain level of satisfaction to think you would do something like that.
