Well, just as I predicted, our President is going to stay in office. Unlike many, I never doubted this once last night.
I am a little curious though, so to those who supported President Bush in his bid for re-election:
What is the key issue for you, and what do you expect of the candidate you elected? I am looking for a SPECIFIC example of the accomplishment that you want to see in the next four years. The GOP now has more control in both houses up on the Hill, so there really is no excuse for this accomplishment to fail.
As I said, I am looking for specific answers. "I just didn't want a lousy liberal in the White House" is not an answer to this question. This is an honest question.
Congrats on your total and complete victory. Let's see what your party does with their strengthened position in all three branches....

I would like to see a long-term solution for Social Security and Medicare put in place.
-
-
1. Continue the war on terror and defeat the terrorists.
2. Appoint more pro-life judges.
3. Tort Reform.
4. Continued support for Israel.
5. Continue the recovery of the Clinton / 9-11 recession.
I am sure there are other things that I am just too tired to think of right now, but these are the main things for now.
Joseph Botwinick -
I believe he voted for Bush because the reality of Kerry winning became a possibility in Arkansas, and he knows what a scum Kerry is.
Joseph Botwinick -
I think he will nominate judges.
I think Bush will become more universalistic if God doesnt get ahold of him.
I think we'll still have a military presence in Irag during the whole time.
Doing the same old thing as before. -
As I clearly stated, I am looking for real answers to an honest question. In other words, I specifically asked about what was the motivating issue to vote for President Bush. I did not ask about anyone's perception of John Kerry.
Perhaps I should amplify:
I am curious as to how you feel President Bush is going to specifically address the issues to your
satisfaction.
Hope all is well in Arkansas,
BiR -
You asked a second question as to why Ken VOTED for Bush.
I already answered your first question.
Joseph Botwinick -
I heard Jerry Fallwell on CNN tonight, they were talking about how Karl Rove mobilized the evangelical voters to help Bush get re-elected.
He was saying how now Bush can focus on the gay marriage and abortion issues. -
I am not in favor of any particular remedy at the moment. But I do understand that the longer we wait to fix Social Security and Medicare the more severe the remedy will have to be. -
By the way, the current economy cannot be blamed on President Clinton, despite Rush Limbaugh's claims to the contrary (he actually made it to just after 12:20 PM today before he mentioned the Clintons). I would accept the 9/11 argument, but it has been FOUR YEARS since Bill Clinton was in office. -

Thanks for posting,

Oh, by the way, my reason for voting for President Bush is here - www.baptistboard.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi/topic/18/2349.html?

I expect the next four years to bring even more federal growth, more lost of constitutional rights, more babies killed through abortion and more countries invaded by our military.
-
Like hubby would say... 'Well go ahead and claim it!'
-
I would love to see the GOP with the Whitehouse, a majority in the Senate and the House take the next four years to outlaw abortion, cut the size of the federal government, protect our borders, etc.
But, I expect them to simply continue to do what they have been doing, afterall the voters approved of it by voting for them.
In 2008 I expect us to be told that we need to support the liberal Rudy Guiliani out of fear of Hillary becoming President. -
-
It's academic from a political point of view, I think. It has been pointed out that just as the black churches have been the property of the Democrats for decades, the GOP now owns the Evangelical vote. Policy dosen't have much to do with it. -
Primarily I voted for George Bush because I believe my Grandchildren will be safer from Terrorism with him in the White House.
Not to mention all the other reasons.
