Well now you KNOW why Roger went to Chicago don't you? He's already voted for Peroutka once but in Chicago, even the dead vote twice.

I'm no Democrat! Wash your mouth out with SOAP! My mother is a Democrat. My father is a Republican. I've NEVER voted for a Democrat!

Vote Republican. Vote Early. Vote Often.

Whoops - caught you talking about me behind my back ;) .

Just had a chance to pop in real quick. We are safely here, staying with some wonderful folks in a truly beautiful home.

Keep pour "boys" back in Naas in prayer.

A good evening from rainy Cuba - New York that is. I've quite working about 45 minutes ago - and wrote a devotional for Blackbird who is in England - while Roger is in the USA.

World travelors - have a lot of fun - the both of you.

Diane - maybe you should vote more than twice!

Hello to all who may look in today. It seems to be very quiet in here.

The weather here is very wet and windy with gales forecast for this weekend. Just the kind of weather to stay indoors and curl up by the fire with a good book.

I have just been trying to clear my desk. Seems impossible for me to have a clear desk for any length of time. It is a task I don't really enjoy.

I am going to make my first ever Tar Heel pie for dessert tonight. The recipe is on a postcard I bought whilst over in the U.S. Rob is looking forward to trying it. I will let you know how it goes.

I hope everyone is ok.

God Bless

Sheila

Hi Sheila,

ALways good to see you. I am not spending much time at the computer these days. I may get back at it anytime now. We have been busy handling Mary's mother's estate, and cleanig up our village house. We have a couple and their children who will be using it until next August when their new house will be built.

We gave the battery operated vehicle we bought for Mary's mum to a young fellow with Spina Bifida. Now he can motor up to his handicapped workshop each day. Prior to now, he hand-wheeled his wheelchair there. It is great to see his smiles and laughter. They are quite expensive and he has no money.

Thank you for your kind remarks about the devotionals. I am glad you like the story concept. They come from the children's stories I used to tell in the morning services over the years. I just thought they would be different here.

Hi Dan, I suppose you will find more time here soon when your work schedule cuts back for winter. God bless, mate.

Cheers,

Jim

Morning Jim, Sheila and Dan! It's very overcast here but the trees just began to turn colors so outside my window looks like a painting!

Jim, that is so sweet of you and Mary! God will surely use that vehicle to bless this man and show God's love in a mighty way!

Hello Diane

Well guess who fell asleep here !! So no Tar Heel pie until tomorrow. Can't understand how I can fall asleep in the afternoon but not at night.

Jim, that was such a wonderful and precious gift to that young man. I expect it makes life so much easier for him now. Enjoy his smiles. I will try and look in later. I have a lot of reading to do.

God Bless

Sheila

Where is everyone?

Well, I made my Tar Heel Pie today and it is a success.
)

Raining cats and dogs here in the U.K. and it is also quite dark too. I think I will spend the evening in front of the fire reading and knitting, though not necessarily at the same time.

What is everyone doing today ?

God Bless

Sheila

Hi Sheila,

Just what is a tar heel pie, anyway?

Raining cats and dogs - does the rain bark and scratch like dogs and cats?

We've had rain at the job site - wish it would stop so we can get the job finished.

Came home tonight - because the contractor didn't work today - because of the rain.

Yes, Roger - soon I hope things will quiet down - but they've already assigned my next job - the bid was last Thursday - but the job probably won't start until March 05!

More time limits - so it'll probably be rush rush rush - when we can work. We've got to move a creek channel - and the "tree huggers" are trying to put unrealistic restraints on us.

That's all for now!

Dan - the "rain-man"

Oh Roger. That is SO hard. Scott and Sandra brought Jack for me to keep a week the beginning of Oct. and we only get to see him a few times a year. VERY hard! Harder still is that we have 2 granddaughters that we just never get to see, even tho we talk on the phone every day.

We are looking forward to when Matt and Michelle have their support raised and are just a couple of hours away.

It was a blessing to see them at our missions board's annual meeting, but even more special to be missionaries with them in a missions conference.
