    Interesting, my county was for
    Kerry (4494; 29.3%) over Clark (4,743; 27.8%).
    In the state of Oklahoma
    Clark was #1, Edwards #2.

Looks like i'm on the verge of bad weather:
    now predicting rain/icy stuff/snow collecting
from trace to 2". Actually that is
trace to 2" where a live, 18 miles north where
i work is predicted 1" to 3". Fortunatley
i've got a doctor appointment for some hangnails
    in my big toes.

Ed - we had 5-7" of the white stuff last night - it was about 32ºF - so it was heavy snow! They are calling for freezing rain and slop this weekend!

Jim - That is a great life's slogan!

We had a little snow last night, but mighty winds, and that has piled up great heights of snow. I must blow it out to-day, and with the winds, that means snow in the face all day. It remains very cold, but the sun is shining brightly, reminding us that on the darkest of days, the SON still shines.

I have been two days writing the one devotional just posted. I always find Acts 4 a very moving passage, and pray that the churches of Christ will realize these words.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Jim, if you'd like your address edited out now that there's been time for your friend to copy it let me know. Never know what odd type person may come across it.
The weather today is nice, in light of how it has been. It was quite deceptive looking though. The roads and sidewalks looked dry, but had a thin clear coat of ice I wasn't expecting when I went prancing out the door and onto the sidewalk!
Other than that it's been sunshiney and you can walk AND breathe without your lungs collapsing! I really don't understand how anyone could adapt to zero temperatures on a regular basis.
Hope everyone's doing ok out there today! It's been a long long day and I'm looking forward to bedtime!

Thanks Gina,,That might be a good idea. I don't usually trouble about these things, I am very easy to find, but you are right regarding the net.

If Danny hasn't got it by now, perhaps he has hoovered his mail box and I can insert it there...lol

    Cheers,

Thank you, Sister Gina L for helping us
    preserve our identities.
There were nearly 7,000 cases of
identity thieft in Oklahoma alone in
    2003.

What is really a bummer is when your
US Post Office slamms your identity.
Last July the local PO was telling
my correspondants that i moved without
leaving an address. I think their
    computer got confused with a
person i used to get mail for.
Her name is also Edwards and she
lives on the same house number a
couple of blocks over on a different
street. I still get problems from this
    over half a year later.
Fortunately i have my pay direct deposit
or i'd have missed a paycheck. I still
haven't cleared some bonds i was supposed
    to get.

Post offices can be fun. My ex recently changed my address for me from the house to where I live now. The only problem was I wasn't getting mail there anyhow, apart from a few things for the kids.
    Or so I thought.
Turns out he had put the utilities were in my name, so for the last few months I've been getting the bills for his house here at my place, in my name. I didn't notice at first. I saw bills and paid them. The electric company has switched payment methods so many times I assumed they split the bill again between companies like they were doing last year, then just yesterday I called to ask them WHY in the world I had paid four bills since Dec. and just got another one, I was all upset thinking they were trying to scam money out of me!

I have four pension cheques each month and they all are direct deposit. Never have to worry about mail theft, strikes or any other delays. I don't understand people who depend on the postal services these days (I speak for Canada, cos I don't know the US)

    Thanks Gina,

I guess there are things we wouldn't do ourselves and we don't expect others to do it either. I am afraid I would still rather err on the side of trust.

    Cheers,

    Jim

    Jim and Gina:

I've copied down Jim's address - so you can edit it out!

I've also deleted 75% of the stuff in my mailbox - sorry about that.

A storm lover huh? I LOVE rain, but could do without the thunder and lightening! Wouldn't it be cool to be able to stand out in a good storm with no thunder and not being afraid of getting hit by lightning? [IMG]

I don't like thunder and lightening either. When we were in Greece our room was on the top floor of the hotel, right in the centre of town and there was this massive storm which actually shook the building.

Flying thru storms is quite interesting too. :D

Sheila, there was a movie out here with Jim Carrey called "The Truman Show". His life is on camera 24/7, he doesn't know it, or know that "they" are trying to keep him in town because the whole town is a set-up. In one part he tried to get on a plane so he goes to the travel center for tickets and they have a big poster up with a picture of an airplane getting ripped in half mid-air by a bolt of lightning. The caption on the poster is "It could happen to you".

Good morning, even though it seems like mid-day already.

Speaking of storms, we are expecting a huge storm tonight..heavy snow followed by rain, and they will leave a huge mess by morning. This must be Canada,,,,,or Northern New York.

Storms don't bother me much. Having lived through two wars, I will take the thunder and lightning any day. When daughter lived in Green Bay, Wi, we had to switch planes in Chicago and take a smaller plane to Green Bay. ANyone who knows that area knows there are always storms going on. We often watched lightning in the sky whilst flying..when will they make rubber planes with a ground wire????

Granny, you lived in Alaska and didn't fly? My oh my, you would rather drive that long, hard Alaskan highway than fly??

    Cheers,

    Jim
