Using logic, if one is once saved by grace through faith in God and never loses faith in God, one is always saved by that same faith that saves.
If one is once saved, but loses that saving faith in God, then one is no longer saved.
It is one's faith condition when one's spirit departs from the flesh, that determines whether or not one is not judged or is judged and cast into the lake of fire.
If one can lose faith in anything, that means it is possible for one to lose faith in God. Have you ever lost faith in anything? If you have then you know it is possible to lose faith in God. Consider all the folks that have lost faith in Enron. What about the Californians who have lost faith in Gray Davis? It is therefore, a possibility that one can (has the ability to) lose faith in God, thus losing salvation.
This cannot be true. If one is save by Faith

I showed, and others have showed where scripture does support it. It is your choice to reject it.
I'm still waiting for responses in several threads to challenges in Eze 18, Romans 11, & such.

QUOTE]If salvation was that fickle, it would't be worth having. [/QB][/QUOTE]
See this is where the misunderstanding comes in for you.
You developed a "Picture" of God based on Human desires of unconditional Love. In our minds real love will have no conditions. But you fail to see Gods righteousness through all HIS words.
The God that NEVER changes may not be the same GOD you follow.
The kind of faith that the bible teach would not be worth it to a "Lazy Servant".
People just want something garanteed with no strings attached. If this is not the case with salvation then its not, as in your mind, a "FREE GIFT". No where in scripture does it say salvation has not conditional. Or that Gods protection is unconditional.
You people also say we can't save ourselve.
C'mon get a clue!
Peter told people to "Save yourselve from the corrupt generation" (Acts 2:38-41).
God forgave us and Jesus took the punishment and there is nothing we can do to "deserve" that. But there is something we have to do to maintain a saving faith in His mercy.
I bet you don't believe that Jesus has "Conditions" for following him. Meaning that even if you do believe in him you still can't be his disciple. Isn't being a disciple of Jesus important to "Salvation" (Mark 16:all) -

Now isn't that what salvation is all about? We have faith in one who promises eternal life, that is, salvation. The more of us we put into the investment of our trust in and with Jesus Christ, the greater our rewards in Heaven will be! Scriptures say so!
Now, that compares with investing our financial resources hoping for financial gain.
I hope that clarifies for you what I was saying. -
Tazman,
Faith without works is considered to be "dead faith". However, works without faith gains one nothing!
It is only Faith first, followed by the evidence of faith which are good works, that establish ones faith in God's "eyes" and in man's.
Put you money in a bank that pays no interest and you have less in the end, because the bank requires one pay for "services". That is Faith without works. That is "burying one's talent".
If one does not have faith first, one has nothing! -
