Craig, I have trained dogs, horses, and kids. Dogs and horses are not consciously rebellious. They may be stubborn, and/or frightened, and maybe hard to train or even just easily upset. That is a far cry from actual rebellion, which kids are extremely capable of, as are adults.

You can only speak of your own personal experience in training animals and your own personal interpretation of what you perceived. My experience with training dogs has been different—perhaps you were working with a breed of dogs that was much less intelligent. My experience is that the more intelligent the dog is, the more likely he is to rebel. That is not to say, however, that all very intelligent dogs are rebellious—the large majority of them are not, but some definitely are, and much more so than my children were. Indeed, I never had any serious trouble with my children, but two of my dogs—wow!

I swear my parents' dog talks back sometimes! [IMG]

She's a sweet dog, but occasionally she lets it slip that she might enjoy running things.

What 'cha testing??? </font>[/QUOTE]I wanted to find out if I could post to the BB from the university’s brand new $4,750,000 computer. I got an error message. So much for new computers!

I’ll try it again and see what happens. Maybe the problem was on your end instead of my end.

What da ya know! It works great! Now if I can only figure out how to use its virtual intelligence to help me win these debates with Helen. I sure wish I could teach my rebellious dog how to type!

Hey, Helen—since your dogs are not rebellious, have you figured out to teach them to type?

Dog Training Courses for Dog Owners
“If you don't have any experience with dogs, or have never had a dog before, you can take training classes to learn to train your dog effectively. These kinds of classes are also very useful for people who have specially stubborn or rebellious dogs. These courses also help and benefit everyone since even the most experienced dog owner will learn something from them.”

    Man's Best Fiend
    Rabid Cops want Mad Dogs
Customs agents in Laredo, Texas, are urging citizens to donate their most vicious, rebellious dogs to Uncle Sam's War on Drugs. The agency maintains an elite corps of 450 drug sniffing canines that are the French Foreign Legion of the drug world, and they are hoping to recruit street-wise, mean spirited, psycho-hyper dogs into their ranks.
The call is out for commando hounds that normal people wouldn't want around the house. These are the dogs that tear things to pieces, break out of backyards, get into fights and aren't afraid to bite people. Berserk dogs that go ballistic at the chance to fetch anything for anyone are the love-starved gnashing mercenaries that US Customs just loves to get ahold of and train into drug agents that work for dogfood and are satisfied sleeping on the old blanket outside.

Doctor Blackbird has fired his fifth and final(not to mention last) Tranquilizer dart into the hind quarter of Craigbythesea---he is surprised that it had taken five of um---he's tested out the best of the best on African Rhinos before---but this one takes the cake!!

As soon as the good doctor's patient is settled, though---the good Doctor will proceed in reversing the training by reading Pavlov backwards to Craigbythesea! The secret to lasting results is in ringing the dinner bells backwards---it takes special talent in order to bring that ability about!!

Then the good doctor will probe the mind of his fast asleep customer---I mean, patient---to see on which level that he responds to the reversed dinner bell!!

Personally---Doctor Blackbird---if he could return back to life as something else than himself---would like to be considered as a Border Collie!!
