The Third Debate

Third Time Wasn’t The Charm. Thrice now, Trump has had 90 minutes to make his argument for his brand of change over Democratic status quo, with tens of millions of voters tuned in.

Thrice now, he’s failed to seal the deal.

I base this on one standard: sound bites. Trump didn’t generate positive ones about his vision. To the extent the debate is rehashed over the next few days, the video will be of Trump refusing to say he’ll accept the election’s results if he’s on the losing end, or calling Clinton a “nasty woman”.

Consider the findings from Tuesday’s Fox News Poll:

On the economy – the paramount issue in this election – Trump tops Clinton by six points. In 2012, Mitt Romney led President Obama by 9 points.

On foreign policy, Clinton has an 18-point lead. In 2012, Obama led by only 8 points.

Now, the number that speaks to why Trump trails in this contest: asked with candidate can change the country for the better, Clinton leads by three points.

Three months after the GOP national convention, Trump has failed to convert his outsider status to an advantage. If he goes on to lose the race, then that failure should be in the lead paragraph of his political obituary.

I was surprised (again) by Trump's willingness to lie to the American people, especially when it is easily disproven.

He did a great job on pro life, 2nd amendment, the Constitution, and SCOTUS. He was nailing it. He was not interrupting, he was not insulting, he was on topic. His best debate.

Then Hillary mentioned his inheritance and the self-destruction started. It was all down hill from there.

Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
Opinion. He simply leveled off.

Opinion. :Cautious.

More like he swan-dived into oblivion. His latter definitely wasn't greater than his past.

This always happens. Emotions cloud the issue.

Personally I put little credibility in the polls and agree that polling, especially in this election, is a poor reflection of what is really happening (at least locally) WA State is blue, blue, blue.

I wouldn't be surprised to know that those being called are less than honest.
By both sides to be forthright.

My wife simply will not answer (or hang up) on the myriad polling calls we get.
Same with me now.
In fact many of the Trump supporters from church will not participate with polling.

Some of these so called "polls" turn out to be biased.

Our ballots came in the mail yesterday.

Anyone who was watching this debate knows how really bad it was. It was the third debate. He made no headway in the first two. And then he turns around and the third and lays some cow poo out there for the world to see it.

On top of his seeming to think this is a game in which he's got to keep us in suspense, he reinforced for the whole world what he thinks of women.

And he and his wife must talk as little as he and Mike Pence. Because she said he apologized to her and now he says he didn't.

After the first 30 minutes or so, he put some rocket fuel in that car and headed straight for the ledge and didn't stop when he got to it.

More opinion.

HankD

Yep.

Except my opinion is based on what factually happened.

Yours and that of the Trump myrmidons seems to be based in some fantasy land and on some alternate universe interpretation pf what happened.

The Hindenburg didn't crash and burn as badly as he did last night.

He is not diving into a sea of the blood of the millions of innocent human beings slaughtered by the "progressive" arm of the American politic including our soon to be elected king and queen (two for the price of one).
Bill will be walking the White House halls again.

Man stop it. This faux pretense of being concerned about aborted babies while making excuses to support a man who would be a stumbling block for billions to waltz right into hell betrays you.:Cautious

Bill will be walking the White House halls again.

So? He's a former President. He walks the White House halls pretty much when he wants to anyway as do the other former Presidents. It kinda goes with being a member of that elite club.

But the number of innocent lives lost pale in comparison to the number that have been sacrificed on the altar of murder of the innocent of which his opponent is the platform queen. It exceeds the number of most human holocausts of history.

I will NEVER stop being concerned for the lives of innocent babes in the womb. You are a false witness of my motive.

It just ain't a believable position to stake out while supporting a man who could be the stumbling block for billions into hell.

So for evangelical Trump supporters to say they are concerned about life just isn't supported by their disregard for the possible billions he could point to hell and an eternal lake of fire.

But if it helps yall sleep at night...

There is no moral equivalent to child murder.

Remember that when you cast your ballot.

Hank tries to take the thread totally off-topic again.

Trump lost the debate when he trashed the number one tenet of democracy.

A baseball analogy:

Trump went to bat three times.
Trump struck-out three times on nine pitches.

How does it compare to the possible billions that a world platform for him and his anti-Christ ways could point to hell?

You'd be more believable if you even pretended to care that supporting that man makes a Christian witness non-existent.

Yes it will because to at least try to defeat our soon to be Abortionist-in-Chief by my ballot cast for a not so perfect opposing candidate will indeed help me sleep. To support someone like Mrs Clinton is far worse than supporting Donald Trump.

There's no moral equivalent to rejecting Jesus Christ. Remember that when you're at the foot of the Cross making excuses for why what you want and your way supersedes what Christ has commissioned us to do.

To defend innocent life is not to reject Jesus Christ.
