Then what is this whole line of debate about. I agree. we need to remain focussed on Jesus Christ and not politics.
Ken's post smacked of painting his side as pure and righteous, and I pointed out the error in his thinking. I simply highlighted that racism, greed and corruption show up on both sides of the political spectrum.

And by the way, there's plenty of things you can find wrong with me (just ask my wife), but putting my hope in the government to solve mine or anyone else's problems isn't one of them.

Conservatism is not dead: it has just recently been shafted on the ballot. I believe that there were enough who voted for Obama who just couldn't stand anything that smelled like Bush anymore, not because they all adore Obama. In fact, there were enough people voting for Obama that also voted for the marriage amendments.

It took an Obama to wake up the Republicans, and it should hold their feet to the conservative fire. If Obama becomes another Carter, we could get another Reagan. If Obama becomes another Clinton, we could get another Contract with America.

And, of course, God is in control. I approach the next year with optimism knowing that God knows what He is doing.

What has President Bush done that was immoral? Any affairs that I dont know about, Mob ties?

And dont bring the war into this, just because you may not agree with the war does not make it immoral, just like it does not make it moral because I agree that it was the right thing to do.

What has he done that was not decent or moral?

Where did you get the idea that I was specifying Bush?

Okay - I was not going to play, but I will (although it is almost bedtime here)

Who killed America?
No one has killed it yet, however it is drifting that way, quicker everyday. Everyone is writing thread after thread about the liberals, socialists, etc killing America. To me, that is a very limited view, like a near sighted person.

What is feeding the liberal machine? Isn't it us as a society? Over the last fifty years, have we not expected more and more for nothing? Look around at your community. See how many live fine and do not work. Fifty years ago, they would have been destitute. What else is feeding the liberal journey? How about the fact we care less for others and have focused eyes inward and are constantly thinking about me, me, me. Certainly no one else, who you can see, and no way, God, who you cannot see. It is noticable all over the place. I usually hold a door open for someone at Walmart or a restaurant. How many go through without a thank-you like I am there porter? Can you see it in the driving habits with the cute gestures? Do you think kids might die of a heart attack if the had a birthday party, clothes or Christmas like we did in the 50s?

I believe the Bible calls this growing cold towards one another. No love of neighbor or God, only me. Until this turns around, conservatism will not thrive, and the leftward march will continue.

You can write all the threads you want raking Democrats, liberals, socialists, weirdos over the coals. It does no good. The problem is us.

We are Now the "DIVIDED States of America"

Dead and divided?

Liberal democrats would spew garbage like this when the republicans were in power and republicans would call them un-American and unpatriotic. Nothing like walking in someone else's shoes.

Since you made that nonsensical statement I imagine you were one of those who exercised bad judgment and voted for John McCain.

Actually Ken, that is not a nonsensical statement. If you had researched your choice as president, you would know that.
