    Jut how much of the time did paul preach the Law to Gentiles though, as seemed he preach the Cross of Christ and resurrection, not the Law!

    What TWOTM misses is that salvation did come to the Jew first. Those Jesus encountered with the Law were those who considered themselves people of the Law and it was through this Law that they understood God.

    It is the worst evangelism program that I have seen - not because of its evangelism but because of its theology. I would not attend a church that encouraged the program.

    Exactly. This is a discussion board, and if you are unable to contribute to the discussion or argue against a point, yet decide to label it as "dumb", then wouldn't that not make you even dumber?

    If you disagree with my post, then by all means argue your point. I've looked at the post, and it's pretty solid. So take your best shot...unless you are in fact trying to label it as "dumb" because you are unable to argue against it.....and what would that make you? ;)

    During the Hasmonean period four sects of Jews arose - the Pharisees, who viewed righteous as a matter of keeping the Law at an individual level; the Sadducees, who focused on ceremonial law; the Essenes who headed for the hills; and the Febtiles who got down and partied.

    The posting above is part of what drove me to the 1646 First London Confession of Baptists and New Covenant Theology:

    XXV

    THE preaching of the gospel to the conversion of sinners, is absolutely free; no way requiring as absolutely necessary, any qualifications, preparations, or terrors of the law, or preceding ministry of the law, but only and alone the naked soul, a sinner and ungodly, to receive Christ crucified, dead and buried, and risen again; who is made a prince and a Saviour for such sinners as through the gospel shall be brought to believe on Him.

    John 3:14.15.1:12; Isa.55:1; John 7:37; 1 Tim.1:15; Rom.4:5.5:8; Acts 5:30.31,2:36; 1 Cor.1:22,24.

    But Comfort and Cameron are not baptists, so their doctrine is probably not entirely on point.

    I've seen Comfort and Cameron occasionally in news articles and have no idea what they are. The person quoting them is labeled Baptist, so I thought the Old Baptist confession fit. :)

    It should fit, but there are a lot of baptists who are not Baptists. :D

    When you get to the gates of Heaven will Christ ask if you were a Baptist or a follower of him? Comfort and Cameron are wisely not Baptists, but... lots of Baptist Churches have used or use WOTM, however probably most of their support comes from non Baptist Churches.

    No, He will probably ask if you are a vow breaker, abandoned your wife, divorced her without biblical reason, and planned adultery with another women at the soonest possible moment.

    You cannot really preach the cross without explaining its relationship to the broken law.....can You?
    What do you say y1.......?
    You say;
    Just believe in Jesus.....
    The person says why?
    Then you just say believe he died on a cross...
    The person says why?
    Do you just say...it is good news...He died on a cross?
    You mentioned sin.....
    The person says....what is sin?
    What do you say now? Sin is a transgression of the .....l_w.....buy a vowel.:Cautious
