ah, well, that explains the other story about not eating meat and saving the planet. They stopped eating meat, ate all veggies and, well,, now we see the real danger.

Well, I've been a vegetarian since 1977. Not eating meat has nothing to do with using your brain. In fact, eating meat slows down the body - it takes the body more energy to digest it.

If people knew about the animal cruelty in factory farming, they would probably not want to eat meat. I am not talking about just killing an animal to eat - if we did that, it would be fine. In fact, I am not opposed to hunting animals for food (except with those trucks that have those headlights on them or in a preserve where the animal does not have a chance). I am talking about cruelty, which is not biblical.

Well, now I guess I should be prepared for all the smart remarks and jokes. :tonofbricks:

Talk about animal cruelty, what about the Ark? Can you imagine being in the Ark with all those animals?

Well Marcia, I would not want to feel left out so here is a joke for you:

A vegetarian walks into his doctor's office. He has celery sticking out of one ear, lettuce out of the other, and a zucchini up his nose.

The doctor tells him, "Well, you're not eating right."

Seen on a T shirt:
There is a place for all of God's creatures . . . .

Right next to the potatoes and gravy
Marcia, eat what you want to, just don't tell me what to (or not to) eat.

I think it was built exactly for what God had in mind. The worse part for me would have been seasickness.

I'm not telling you what to eat. Most people eat meat in denial of how it got to the table. I repeat - if you knew you might not want it, not to mention all the gunk that's in there, including a lot of hormones.

But I'll say this:
I'm more prepared for heaven because we will not be eating any meat there.

There was no meat eating until after the Flood and there will be none in heaven. So I'm ahead of the game.

Besides, I am also saving a lot of money.

Plus the smell from the animals.

But it was for a good cause!

I'm being nice to you guys. I could start posting all the stuff about factory farming, what the meat has been in, how they don't really clean it well, how the meat places are not inspected carefully, etc. Maybe one day I will - so be ready! :wavey:
