After decades of holding America hostage to their manipulation of oil stocks and prices, they now beg us to slow down our own production.

OPEC to U.S.: Please don't pump so much oil!

"OPEC has asked a favor of other major producers: Please stop pumping so much and help us balance the market.
The unusual plea was issued Thursday in the cartel's closely-watched monthly report, which found that global markets are still suffering from too much supply."

"The report said that balancing the market would "require the collective efforts of all oil producers" and should be done "not only for the benefit of the individual countries, but also for the general prosperity of the world economy."

Benefit the world economy? According to WHO? The Lord WHOSE "OIL" it is (and whose air, water, land, plants, animals it is) OR the Stewards thereof who dictate who shall and who shall not "benefit" according to HOW it jingles the change in their pockets?

Ouchie oochie it hurts when my arm is twisted while being sweet talked through a fake veneer grin.

Funny is right. The height of irony.

They're whipped. Now we'll see if our political leaders know how to take advantage of ingenuity and drive of American industry.

They've been in surrender mode for the last 8 years.

Good. One of the things that Bush II said that really, really made sense was that the U.S. needed to cut its dependency on foreign oil and reduce the amount of money available to nations that (with a few exceptions) sponsor dictatorships, abuse human rights and sponsor terrorism.

I'd love to see America drill more, develop alternate fuel sources, etc.
