Felons voting is a sticky issue. I hate to refuse anyone their vote but rules is rules. You should consider a lot about how a felony conviction will affect your future before committing one.

But Moore was a seriously flawed candidate from the beginning. And he lost by a percent and a half. Democrats shouldn’t see this as a trend against trump.

Speaking in general terms, Democrats don't play by the rules.

In this case, they were playing by the rules because the law has been changed to allow most felons to vote. Ex-felons can vote in my state after they've served their full sentences.

I stand corrected.

As is the case in New York State - including all time sentenced on probation

No you are right, however they spin yarns in order to look superior... it’s party politics and recruitment propaganda

IMO Its not party politics, there are plenty of RINO's, NeoCons, Turncoats and liberal progressives within the GOP.
i believe even some "conservatives" are just mask-wearers, waiting to perpetrate their evil deeds.

Its Progressives vs Conservatives and Progressives follow the age old strategy of "The Ends Justify the Means" and will stoop to any deception, lie or social injustice to get what they want.

e.g. Abortion, forced upon us by a clandestine progressive SCOTUS under a Republican administration.

No one asked We the People to vote on making MURDER LEGAL. We woke up one morning in 1973 and Satan had his way with the slaughter of the innocent.

No one asked us because the progressives knew full well that this blood bath of innocent blood would never happen by referendum.

So we need to pray and ask God to deliver us from the evil that has overtaken our nation by subterfuge, stealth and deception.

He knows each heart.

Judith, it is not a legal problem if it is legal (which according to the article, it was). But it is news. And if it Alabama they followed the general pattern of a high percentage voting for the Democrat, then this could have helped Doug Jones on to victory. I doubt there will be any follow up on this, since many other points of the story are bigger news.

Like I said what is the problem if it is legal. Would you complain if they tended to vote republican? The real issue is not that they are felons, but that people are prejudiced and want to limit who can vote. By the way a large portion are black making this is a race issue. Roy Moore lost because of the accusations of him being immoral earlier in life not because felons voted.

Judith, where have I complained about anything? I posted a news item. I answered your question. Now it seems you just want to argue with someone. I did not complain about them voting Democrat -- I simply pointed to a survey that says they tend to. I would not complain if they voted Republican either. If they tended to vote Republican, it would have lent more help to Moore rather than Jones. If they tended to vote Democrat, they lent more help to Jones rather than Moore. Simple facts. If you want to argue further about it you can argue with yourself.

[BTW, did you bother to read the linked article? The activist mentioned was not complaining about the thousands of felons registered to vote, but was the one working to get them registered to vote.]
