I was with her all the way up to the part where the internet was going to be regulated and the civilian military was going to knock on my door for speech violations. Otherwise, a solid presentation.

Her concern was very reasonable. The UN wants to control the internet and I believe obama is in some kind of support of it. -

The eternal triangle. Did God give the government inalienable rights which it then may or may not bestow upon the people, or Did God give the people inalienable rights which the government has no right to take away. The Bible teaches if we have a choice, it is better to be free than to be slave. Therefore to vote to become more of a slave the the state is unbiblical.
1) If God forms our human spirit within us, then we have the God given right to life from conception. But the state says a baby has no inalienable right to life until it is fully out of the birth canal.
2) The Bible says holy matrimony is a union between a man and a woman. The state says a union between people, regardless of gender is a marriage.
3) The Bible says we are to protect widows and orphans and others unable to protect themselves. The state says it will take our resources and protect those of its choosing. Lest we forget Germany and its treatment of Jews, Gypsies, oppositional Catholics and the mentally ill. -
Bill would give president emergency control of Internet (8/28/09)

Quote: Internet companies and civil liberties groups were alarmed this spring when a U.S. Senate bill proposed handing the White House the power to disconnect private-sector computers from the Internet.
Obama signs order outlining emergency Internet control
July 10, 2012 http://news.cnet.com/8301-1023_3-57469950-93/obama-signs-order-outlining-emergency-internet-control/
Quote: President Barack Obama signed an executive order last week that could give the U.S. government control over the Internet.
With the wordy title "Assignment of National Security and Emergency Preparedness Communications Functions," this order was designed to empower certain governmental agencies with control over telecommunications and the Web during natural disasters and security emergencies.
Here's the rationale behind the order:
Renewed Push to Give Obama an Internet "Kill Switch"

Quote: A company that objects to being subject to the emergency regulations is permitted to appeal to DHS secretary Janet Napolitano. But her decision is final and courts are explicitly prohibited from reviewing it.
Obama speaks: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rsKV3Uy9AzE
Quote: Obama seeks internet control in the name of national security without any constitutional authority. This could lead to media control. The internet is the only really free press. His new internet czar will be appointed and accountable only to him and not to Congress, he says. He denies that he will attempt any personal monitoring or control of the internet but history shows government always grows where ever it is.

-- Bear in mind that internet traffic is being monitored to identify security threats when you hear Obama talk about that aspect of his aims.
Editorial on Net Neutrality: Obama Wants to Control the Web October 05, 2009 http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2009/10/05/phil-kerpen-obama-internet-czar-acorn/
Quote: Just this past spring, within months of Obama's taking office, his administration, through the Department of Commerce, agreed to relinquish some control over IANA and their governance. The Obama administration has agreed to give greater representation to foreign companies and countries on IANA.
This amounts to one small step for internationalism and one giant leap for surrendering America's control over an invention we have every right and responsibility to control and manage.

The Obama administration's actions will set in motion a slow and complete takeover of the Internet by the United Nations or some other equally U.S.-hostile and unfriendly international body. And once it is gone, it will be gone forever

It hasn't been that many years ago that the very thought of governmental control over medical care would have been considered outrageous and impossible.
It hasn't been that many years ago when "gay" meant a happy person and marriage meant a union between one man and one woman.
Who defines "emergency measures"? Don't we already have a growing body of laws governing "hate" crimes (speech), limitations of when and where peaceful demonstrations of protest can occur, and more. Never let a good crisis go to waste. Take as many steps, as possible, each time one happens, to move closer to a given goal. -

What will be next Executive order be with regards to the Internet? Will it expand control over the Internet just a little bit more in some form or the other.
Ever used a seine for fish in a river? Stretch it across a river. Fish still have the option of returning the way they came. Slowly move each end of the seine to form a circle. Each step tightens the circle a little more. Then, all it takes is one more step to close the circle and achieve the objective of giving the fish no way out. -
Same with boiling frogs. Put em in pan of cool water and slowly increase the heat until they're cooked.
Incrementalism is the word for it Oldtimer. The idea is to not spook the frogs or in our case sheople until we are fully cooked and on the dinner plate ready for the global elite to dine on our carcases.
