Brothers and sisters yesterday was one of those days that I think that there may be great wrong in being on the BB. But then the thought came to me that this can be a great avenue for discussing the truths of God. As we discuss the these truths we must remember that the lost of the world are reading what we say to each other and how we say it. Remember what Jesus said to the disciples concerning a new commandment:
(Joh 13:34) A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
(Joh 13:35) By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
Remember also that the prophet Jeremiah saying:
(Jer 31:3) The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.
I understand that we have our differences but let us differ in love. Above all else in all our discussions let us hold up the blood stained banner of Christ.
Love, Peace and Prayers. A fellow servant in Christ

Treat each other with love

Yes, we should express this. But on here and as on earth, it will never be perfect. Unfortunately there are some on this earth, and here in BB that don't love the brethren, plainly and simply. We know 1 Johns' take on this. This right here ought to be plenty to cause us to stop in our tracks, but it won't be for most.
Now some will not be controlled by the fruit of the Spirit. They are living in the flesh. Therefore, their fruit is seen as fleshly. Perhaps some of the above are here, and are merely living in the flesh, not the Spirit. They need to repent. Take an honest look at self. Same here.
Many posts on here are designed and manufactured to anger another person, and to draw one into a fight. But the Scriptures teach that such that stir strife are themselves angry; "A hot-tempered man stirs up strife..." Proverbs 15:18.
Thus we have persons who are looking merely to get a rise out of someone, because they themselves are angry. But shall we ever have such come to look at themselves? Not so, and definitely not when the person is a scoffer; "A scoffer does not love one who reproves him, He will not go to the wise." Proverbs 15:12
Isn't is amazing that the experts on here cannot receive ever being wrong? Absolutely no humility. This is not the fruit of the Spirit.
We must look at our intentions for posting. Some post merely to get someone angry, because it is proven they themselves are angry, and if controlled by anger, they are not walking in the Spirit. Period. Plain and simple.
Paul warned us of this in 2 Timothy 3. He warns how people will act in the last days, and here we have believers who act this way.
So, we should rid ourselves of this:
- Being accusatory.
- Arguing to argue.
- Scouring forums to tell someone you disagree as the norm.
- Telling someone they are condescending (happens constantly.)
- Calling one arrogant (happens constantly.)
- Lying about what one says or has said. (Yes. Lying.)
- Pretending to be something in the open, then PMing what you are secretly to make another angry (this is called hypocrisy. If you're not brave enough to express your theology in public, then don't PM what you are in secret, and in turn play in public like you're one way. Utter foolishness. Grow up.)
- PMing to beg a physical fight. Need I say more? This has happened on more than one occasion.
- Accusing of bullying when it is plainly not true (and if it is, why not step up and practice 1 Peter 2:20 and be mature Christian for once?)
- Twisting words (happens constantly and is purposeful.)
- Believing what "another says another said" (Which has happened to me among others, and thank God brothers like you Jeff, and Steven2006, and others thoroughly read these and found I was falsley accused) But to be right and stand up for right is not to be tolerated when we would rather slander someone. See Proverbs 10:18.
- Saying over and over that a certain theology one accepts is wrong (We get the point. You've said it enough.)
- Labelling as mormon, pelagian, religious only, not saved, and on and on and on (and never admitting you've done it and go on in ignorance, unrepentant, yet so intellectual to which I say "pfffft" on that.)
- Never admitting wrong or having a hard time doing it (as with the Gospel. How can believers get this one completely wrong? And then never admit to it?)
- Spreading lies.
- Misrepresenting another.
- Comparing self with others with the end result ones superiority (this is fools and childs play, btw, you're nothing, and neither am I without Christ)
- Greeting new comers with a smart-alecked fight invoking first response (He is taking note of this.)
- Argue then say you're not ("must you argue about everything" is in itself the same exact thing.)
- Acting or behaving insolent.
- Trying to read something into what someone says, then posting the assumption as if it were fact. Happens all the time. (Funny when you post a response to this lie within 1 minute the troll has already offered a rebuttal. And so the thread goes back and forth and back and forth for hours! This is why the troll appeared, to spend hour upon hour to fight. His wish for the day has come true! Yep, they are waiting and hoping you would bite so they can have a fight. It's why they are here. They are angry and hot-tempered who stir up a fight. It's a proven fact. And you are not walking with God in the Spirit.)
(If you have a problem with a brother, settle it in private?)
The bottom line is this: All the above is persons controlled by anger, not the Spirit. Period. Only the wise who want to walk with God will admit to it. The scoffers will remain scoffers. I choose to walk with God in the Spirit and in love. I have allowed some of you all to get me with trolling ways and all of the above. I have to reject and avoid all of that, including those who stay on the path above. I'm on a mission to walk with God. A few of you may repent and get right but I don't see many doing it as many cannot repent and will not humble themselves.
Let he or she who wants to remain as above remain there.
Brother Jeff, you know I love you man. Thanks for the thread.
God bless. -
Jeff...
A much needed post. Thank you.

I am guilty of these two....I tried to go back and edit my post but it wouldn't let me....so I won't do this in the future. -

But in the realm of dogma, we take no prisoners. -
We will pray for you. :1_grouphug:

I never thought I would ever hear anyone take issue with an admonition to "love one another"...:love2:
But then Aaron came along. :tonofbricks:
Aaron, my brother.....I love you, man.

Jeff, what in the world were you thinking brother?? You can't come on a Christian forum and teach people to love one another! Don't you know it's more important to be RIGHT than be kind? Good grief. (end of sarcasm).

Once again I give you scripture:
(Joh 13:34) A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
Now that is truth.. -
Aaron says to 'man up'.
Myself, I plan to Jesus up! -
-
I don't recall Jesus telling anyone to "man up."
When it comes to doctrine, dogma, or theology--my personal thought is:
Less is More
