    I agree with your example. However, I was only speculating that Bolton might go on CNN and/or MSNBC and rip Trump.

    Did Bolton go on either of those networks and claim he quit, rather than was fired?

    I don't know, it'll come out eventually what happened, it's just what I gleaned from listening to Plante and Limbaugh today - clash of egos.

    I still will be surprised if Bolton turns on Trump.

    Bolton texted to Kilmeade at Fox & Costa at WaPo. Trump knew Bolton was a neocon, & just like the others that have left the building, Trump will be keeping close tabs on who throws support to those exiting, & those who out themselves may find that they too will be removed one way or the other. It’s how you hunt in the swamp, when you’re alone.

    Trump knew it, everybody knew it, my guess is Bolton served his purpose in projecting a certain image to NK, China, Iran, and whoever else that Trump was serious when it comes to use of force (same with Mattis). But what do I know? I think Trump will do his best to keep us out of unnecessary conflicts abroad.

    I'm thinking Trump overrode Bolton in the retaliation for Iran's downing of the drone, and chose the nonlethal route.
