Any ideas why the NAS has capitalized the word "Light" in Colossians 1:12 ?

For the same reason that the following takes place :)

    Col 1:12 (KJV1611 Edition):
Giuing thanks vnto the Father, which hath made vs meete
to be partakers of the inheritance of the Saints in light:

    Col 1:12 (KJV1769 Edition):
Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet
to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

In the first editions of the New American Standard the word was not capitalized, I only notice it in the NASB95.

NAS has a weird system of capitalisation which i think paints them into a corner more often than not. who knows, but some overzealous translator here may have seen Light as a name of the divine!

This is only a guess, but it could be due to the fact that John refers to Christ as the light in John 1:4, 9 and again in John 3:19. Jesus also refers to Himself as the light of the world in John 8:12 and 9:5 and also says that He has "come as a light into the world" in John 12:46.
