Washington — Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said Thursday the Bush administration is waging a "phony war" on terrorism, warning that the country is losing ground against the kind of Islamic radicals who attacked the country on Sept. 11, 2001.

Well if he's trying to gain my support, he's going the wrong way.

It's hard to "win" any war when less that half of the people affected by it are willing to engage.
I have long known and predicted that thousands upon thousands more Americans will have to die right here at home before the threat is taken seriously by enough Americans to actually do something about it.
Regardless of what happens or how many die, there will be a hardcore 30 % of Americans who will always have to have their battles faught for them.
Most of them are liberals of one sort or another. -
