What will the unemployment rate be on Friday when the numbers are to come out? It is at 7.8 right now and I would bet it comes down to 7.6 or less to help save Obama. Even though most economists are saying it should rise. Or will it even be announced before next Tuesday.

It may take some time to adjust the number from the impact of Sandy pounding such a large part of the nation.

I don't think Sandy will impact employment in October since we only have 2 days left in the month. It may affect the ones who tabulate the figures since power may be interupted from now to Friday or beyond.

No, it won't have a big impact on Oct numbers. It will impact the election if several thousand people end up out of work, even temporarily, because of the storm.

People blame incumbents for these disasters, and for the fallout from them.
