I do enjoy debating with you Poncho. You certainly do a lot of reading and although I disagree on many principles, I know that there are often a lot of truths behind thing caused by corruption, big business, etc.
Now all of my BB buddies may be shocked but here's my take and I got this from two sources, one who is very close to me and wouldn't lie and was in a place to know.
Let me be clear and say that I have heard absolutely nothing officially either classified or non-classified, so this is based entirely on witnesses and are in no way related to items that go past my desk.
I think F93 very well may have been shot down by an F-18 launched from an aircraft carrier off the East Coast.
I also still think that the conversations with the people on board the plane were real, including the cell-phone calls.
I think that someone (up topside) decided that if 93 was NOT taken down it would result in the destruction of (possibly) the United States Capital. The decision was made (right or wrong) to be pro-active and prevent another catastrophic crash killing people. The assumption was probably made that no matter what happened the passengers on the plane were dead anyway. Therefore, the lesser of all evils would be to take the plane down.
I'm not saying this is either right nor wrong, but it also explains the instant loss of control of the aircraft, along with the crash occurring where few witnesses would see the action.
This could be all bologna, but if it is not, I do feel sorry for the pilot that had to squeeze the trigger. Whoever took on that responsibility certainly would have a "bad day".
Just some theory to crunch on.
