Another Gospel! </font>
The NWT-- like the KJV-- was produced for the benefit of a particular organization. </font>
__________________________________________________
By the same token, so was the NKJV and the HCSB. So what is your point?
As you know quite well, the NWT is NOT even comparable to the KJV. Unless of course you are trying to equate the heresy of the JW's with the Church of England. In that case sir, methinks thou art mad!
One could just as easily have said the NWT - like the HCSB- was made for the benefit of a particular organization, therefore leading one to equate one with the other. WAIT ! I just did that didn't I?

I am going to agree with Jim here, no serious person can legitamately compare the NWT with the KJV. This tactic is frowned on when the KJVOist compare an MV with a cultic bible or teachings, it should be equally frowned on when the KJV is compared in that way.
And so you know, I am not a KJVO person, but I love the Word of God and dislike when it is compare to that which is false by either group.
Bro Tony -
Thank you Tony!
See? There is at least SOME agreement 'twixt the two sides.
One must watch what one says when trying to refute/rebut a particular statement or position. I think we all (mostly) agree with that?
Be it known that although I am KJVo #4, I do NOT think one is not saved unless one uses the KJV.
However, I take great offense at the comparisons of KJVo with JW's or Mormons. That kind of thing is just plain wrong and is slander. It is true that many in the KJVo camp use those same tactics calling the MV users apostate or worse, but it in no way makes it right for MV'ers to do the same.
I will stand against the man who does that whether he be KJVo or not!
I have said many times that P.S. Ruckman is wrong in his approach, but the fact that he does it does not make it right for others to do it on the opposite side.
 Now I'm repeating myself.
So...see ya either here, there, or in the air!

"here, there, or in the air"...Jim, do you know what well-known loose cannon uses that phrase as his sig?
-
roby;
No I don't. I heard a good friend use it and I like it. Don't you?
Another one of my friends says this.
"How ya' doin'?"
He replies with, "Better than I deserve. I'm going to heaven, are you?"
I like that one too. My friend is a MAJOR conspiracy nut, but I like his reply. It always gets a response in which one can give the receiver the gospel. So I use it also.
Anything wrong with that?

The key word here is USING, so if you have in you hands a valid translation you would be in good shape if you were using it.
Now having THE correct version would be even better.Has THE correct version been translated yet? -
Hope you're not hinting I'm a loose cannon, Roby dear...I've used that phrase for as long as I've been married(40yrs). My preacher(ABA) pa'n'law (who's now dead) taught it to me.
Hey, broJim, I had someone ask me once how ya doin'...and I replied, "better than you!"...He was a Oneness. I didn't mean it the way it came out, but had intended it the way you said it...haha...had to do some fast-stepping there & 'splain myself. ;) -
Actually, I was referring to a gent who often goes by the handle Rextext on other boards. He may have been here in the past.

Slip o' the tongue 'eh?
Seriously, try it like I typed it and you will be astonished how many chances you get to give 'em the gospel!

There are many translations of the Bible, but translation does not equal version. In my humble opinion of course. -
