Actually, I find three in my Bible (the 'real' "Baptist Bible", BTW, as a greater percentage of the translators were 'Baptists' than the one so-called this, the HCSB),The HCSB reads thus, here:Hmmm! Same thing! Same three differences!

I'm afraid the real error here is folks who believe the
scripture says:
John 3:16 (Mis-quoted scripture):
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him aught not perish,
but have everlasting life.
neither 'shall' nor 'should' means the same thing as 'aught' or 'ought'.
I didn't find a single Bible of any sort that said 'aught' here, nary
a one. -

or the varying lengths of the Markan ending...
I love it when people use words like pericope and so forth, makes me happy -
Isn't that when the Markans attacked in "The War of the Worlds"??
"pericope"??
Isn't that what they use on submarines to see what is on the surface of the ocean? I know it is something like that.

"Spare the rod spoil the child." The principle is there but not the exact words.

"Lead me not into temptation, for I can find it on my own"
