I understand that they had been very faithful members of the small Baptist church in the Virginia neighborhood where they lived when he was in the Senate, and that they continued to be supportive in more recent years.
They seem to have been a family of genuine faith.
I would like to think that they had sought some spiritual help before arriving at this decision, but perhaps when you are in such a place of prominence, that does not come easy.
Let us hope that separation does NOT mean divorce.
Reconciliation may still be possible.
Must have been the same brand of Christianity as Obama's in Rev. Wright's church. Christianity teaches honesty, integrity, and truthfulness. Al is engaged in one of the biggest scams known to mankind, global warming, and making a killing off of it, to boot.
I wont say I'm surprised at some of these comments here only that I have come to expect them from some of the of the brethern that post regularly on this board. You can almost recgonize them with out looking at their name.
As well as love and compassion. If we are going to become fruit inspectors are we going to apply it across the board, or only against those who disagree with our politics?
Just because someone doesn't agree with you doesn't mean they don't have share in Christian faith.
Neither does someone doing something wrong mean that either.
It could be said of any of us that our actions do not always speak of true faith.
Let's face it - Al Gore isn't the sharpest tool.
He himself was deceived about the global warming stuff, I'm sure.
We have no way to know? Yes we do. The man made a ton of money off of that. If he really believed in global warming, really believed it was a geniune danger to the planet that people needed to be warned about, and really wanted to help people and the planet he wouldn't have made such a mint off of it, particularly when he was already set for life. Not to mention the fact that he is leaving such a large "carbon footprint." The guy is a liar and hypocrite when it comes to global warming.
