Capitol Hill Aides Wait for a Disaster to End Shutdown - The Atlantic

The Shutdown ending in disaster can only be avoided by intervention to remove/replace either the POTUS by impeachment/indictment or removal by the DNC of the Speaker of the House.

Regardless of who is right or wrong in the conflict the greatest threat is that the authority of the Office of the Presidency is at stake.

Far better to humiliate the Speaker of the House rather than The POTUS (which is the plan of the Radical marxist Progressives of the DNC).

IMO Pelosi must go for the sake of the nation.

Ah, my gut feeling is Trump's gonna win out on this. I think Pelosi makes the same mistake as others by underestimating him.

Let them fight it out. Neither one of them has to go. These stalemates happen in government. It is about time that someone stood up to the Dems. If the Dems want Pelosi as their speaker, that is their business. Actually, the shutdown has had little or no impact on the public.

...but it eventually will have. I've tried to sign up for Medicare online AND over the phone (turn 65 next month) with no luck, long waits no answers, and I'm convinced the shutdown is the reason (going to the office in person in Lexington next week to get it done), and I'm certain as this goes longer it's gonna start affecting a lot of other areas.

KY, are you a vet? If so look into signing up at the VA for medical care. That is if the VA system in your area is fairly decent as it is out here.

Thanks Squire, no, not a vet. I'm retired hazardous duty federal employee that has waited to the last minute to get this done and am now unable to access normal venues (because of the shutdown). My pin doesn't work to access OPM retirees (probably due to past hacks into the system and I've never bothered to acquaint myself with the goings on because I'm so independent and self reliant and busy with life in general (probably STUPID on my part) ) but I always I had in the back of my mind that I could contact them if the need ever arised). Now the need is there and I'm unable to get through. I contacted my last duty station for assist and the young airhead I talked to was clueless other than giving me an email address to request new pin which I did which hasn't replied in over two weeks.

I'm going to Lexington, in person, next week,to talk in person to another person, hopefully.

Don't let yourself grow old; you may live to regret it. (I did.)

The left keeps under-estimating him for the simple reason (IMHO) that they are SO focused on their own "brilliance" that they never consider that they just might not be as brilliant as they think!
As I have heard said of many, "They are believing their own press releases."
It's to their own peril that they ignore the possibility that they are not as smart/powerful/devious as they presume.
As noted in other posts, when the HS leaves this earth - or ceases to practice His restraint - this country will fall into the hand of the left. Naturally, they will get in bed with Islam to eradicate any vestige of Christianity left, and then, THEN, the Islamists will get rid of the useful idiots they (Islam) have been"sleeping" with & the USA will become just one more caliphate; sans all the lbgt, socialists, SJW, MSM etc., etc., etc.
