Click on the article, scroll down to the picture of Walter Scott running from his Mercedes and inspect the taillights on the car. See any "broken taillights"? I don't.
Nobody is going to stick up for this cop. It proves, in the face of evidence, the system will work. I suggest always filming these events, if time and circumstances allow. We need more of this, I applaud the cameraman.
I don't know about his way past history Curtis, but over the last few years, he has shown up because people have reached out to him and asked him to come. And that may be because they know he can get exposure for their cause. But he generally isn't showing up with the families in these cases unless he's asked.
What this proves is that the system may be as broken as Blacks have been saying it is.
It took the world seeing this to believe that the possibility exists that cops are wrongfully murdering Blacks and covering it up with their affirming shield of blue.
It proves that when police officers cover for one another and manipulate evidence, that they have probably gotten away with murder several times.
This was nothing but God bringing something to light. The officers and the department were ready to brush this underneath the rug and move on just as they no doubt had in the past.
Praise God that the young man took the video and got it to the family. Praise God that they lawyered up. Praise God that they had enough foresight to NOT give the video to the police but to give it to the NY Times.
The only reason the mayor and police chief did what they did was because the NY Times released this video and forced their hand.
His police report was barely two paragraphs and the report from the first guy on the scene was two sentences.
EMBARASSING.
The system is waaaaaaaaaay broken. When you've got this type of corruption, that evidence you speak of may never get to see the light of day.
Most of America does not see race involved. They see an out of control cop, and I don't know anyone who doesn't feel awful for the victim and his family, or doesn't want the copS brought to justice.
And most of us want cameras on cops. We want them filmed all the time. Guess who's fighting it ? Police unions, and big-government republicans.
I saw a man murdered. The officer knew it was murder too.
All conservatives had before this was speculation that it wasn't going on.
You don't have to address. The Justice Department investigation is gonna show what they were trying to do. Most folks can make the connection and are well aware they weren't gonna do anything but call it another justifiable kill until their hand was forced.
Call it what you want. But I know what I'm seeing. They had four days. He made a lame report with the catch phrases included. the other officer made an even more lame report. And they had called it a day. Nobody was gonna check anything or question their accounts because of that blue line.
That video is the only reason.
That's two of us. He still looks like a bobble-head doll and he's just toxic.
