Did you know that since 1936 if the Washinton Redskins won their last home game before the Presidential election the incumbent won. Its true.

I agree with their conclusion
"What do we make of all this? Nothing. We see it as coincidence, as evidence that anyone who tries long and hard enough can find apparent patterns in any collection of data."
Mathematically speaking, the odds of the two factors matching up for 18 events in a row are 1 in 262,144 (or 2 to the 18th power). However, the odds that they will match up for 19 events in a row are 1 in 524,288. Quite a difference! -
Well, it turns out this particular streak already ended, eight years ago.
On Nov. 3, 1996, the 7-1 Skins lost to the 5-3 Buffalo Bills, 38-13--and the incumbent president won two days later.

The game between the Redskins and Bills that you refer to here was played in Buffalo, not in Washington. The last home game the Redskins played before the election in 1996 was against the Colts on October 27, which they won, and then Clinton was re-elected.
Packers defeated the Skins today 28-14.
