We had ours yesterday and it was pretty huge. We combined ours with my brother in law's party because his got too big to hold at his house, plus, we have the pool and the beach.
We had plenty of food, games, swimming, plus my brother in law and I have some friends who are in a band who owe him a couple of favors, so they agreed to come and play for our cookout, so there was plenty of dancing.
The weather couldn't have been better.
Our fireworks are tonight so we're going to take the boat out this afternoon and raft up with some friends to watch them. -
Just got back from church services and in a couple hours I'll be off to work. Got to hear from our founding pastor who's just been back from over a month's mission/church planting tour in India, Thailand, Laos & the Philippines.
Actually my 3-day weekend won't be till this coming weekend. This coming Sat (the 10th) we'll be holding a pancake breakfast as a fundraiser for our church's youth baseball team. (While I'm not that much into baseball, I'm definitely into pancakes!!) :love2: -
Since I am a Swede living in Sweden I do not celebrate 4th July. But I wish the Swedish national holiday also could be celebrated in churches.

Currently in Spain, so not too much celebration going on here.

I wished an American friend holiday wishes and she looked at me blankly....totally forgotten. She has lived outside of the States for most of her life so it ain't a hanging offense.
