I'll have to hide as usual, all the people looking to put me on the table and carve me up... :BangHead:

Meet all the family at dad's sister's house. There will probably be around 20-25 of us there.
Lots of turkey, dressing, etc, etc. I will "go light" on the food a day or two leading up.
Dad and his siblings were all raised in Dallas, so, I guess you all know what the afternoon activity will be. -
We'll be hanging out at my parents' house. Hubby's parents are no longer with us and my mom still insists on doing the majority of the cooking (thank goodness! ;)) I usually bring 4 pies and my sister brings something yummy too. Our kids are all but grown and bring their boyfriends/girlfriends -- we'll soon be out of room! We quad ride, shoot clay pigeons and sometimes play rummy. Doing something and nothing, we just enjoy the time we spend together. :)

I think I will start a family fued a couple days before then everyone be mad and I won't have to cook. What you think?

 I like it, Brother Bob! Maybe I'll do the same, only the food will still be cooked ... and it'll all be MINE!

Wednesday before we celebrate with my wife's family at her sister's home...and Thanksgiving day we will go over my parents house and gorge...I mean celebrate with my family.

Like the old Encore commercials..."My family will be over at 6". -
Just be thankful that you have family close enough to spend time with... :love2: -

We will be going to my MIL house, but I will also cook at home. My family has a completely different cooking style than his so if I want any of the things I loved growing up I have to go home or make them myself. His mom is VERY particular about her food and won't try anything new or even allow something different at her table. Go figure. Last year my husbands job gave him a 30# turkey! We had turkey coming out of our ears. (There is only four of us and last year Carinna was 2 so she barely ate anything) My son turns 10 on the 24th so we will also have a b-day party at MIL's. Other than that we will be working non-stop on the film.

Did you hear about the American Pastor who asked an English Pastor if they [the English] celebrate Thanksgiving?
The English Pastor replied "Yes, but we celebrate it in January not November like you do in the colonies".
"Why January"? asked the American Pastor.
Because that's when the left !, the English Pastor replied.
We are going to my Mother-in-Law's house. I will cook the meal[by request], in my kitchen, then take the food to my Mother-in-Law's.
I think I can plan, cook, and serve the dinner. My family is nice enough to rarely complain about my cooking. They're afraid I'll stop cooking, and they'll have to start. :tongue3: -

I baste mine every 30 minutes to keep it from getting dry, if you sue a meat thermometer and take it out of the oven when it gets the right temperature it won't get dry.

I cheat. <gasp>
I bake my turkey on Wednesday, take it off the bone and put it back in the juices to soak all night.
Thanksgiving, all I have to do is reheat the turkey and then use the juices for my noodles, dressing, gravy, etc.
It is sooooooo good that way and I don't have to pick it off the bone while I'm stuffed! -
We will have 14 relatives at our house for Thanksgiving.
We love gettting together with famiy.
I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving -
I can't believe no one is eating Chinese.
