I used to think that the week between Christmas Day and New Year’s Day was like a “dead week”-- the rush to get everything for the big holiday is over, many businesses that do not serve the general public are shut down for much or all of the week, school is still out, the days are about the longest, darkest and often the coldest days of the year. But with years of adult living, it seems like every year there gets to be a greater rush to get many things done with the year’s end or do necessary travel, indoor work, et al. What are you up to this week?
What do you do in Week 52?

It's a regular week like any other. We get off Friday for the Saturday holiday, but it's the same old routine for us here. Work, work, work.

This is the slowest I have had in years!

My teeth are hurting right now from my second dental appointment in 2 days, scheduled, as the poll states, "to optimize benefits by the calendar year." Unfortunately, on top of this I need 2 root canals, or so says the dentist I made the appointments with. And as my dental carrier changes with the 1st of the year, I have had to cancel the referral appointment they made for me to make one with a preferred provider on the new plan.
I am also looking to sell stock, deliberately taking a loss, since it came from an inheritance and I bought out the others involved, who I also need to pay off for a house. Taking the money and the maximum $3000 capital loss on this year's taxes, as well as getting rid of a home equity loan's monthly payment, should solve a few problems. But my plan 2 years ago of buying out and holding the telephone stocks because some time they are going to rise again, is losing appeal. -
I cleaned the kitchen cabinets out (long over due) found stuiff I didn't even remember having, threw some out gave some away. Been working on making an office out of the newly empty bedroom.
