Salvation is God's choice, not yours.

Only those who receive him are given the power to become born again. It's pretty clear English.

Ah yes, the ol' Calvinistic oozing sanctimoniousness of pride masquerading as humility and being more royal than the King.

Either it's true or it is not. Take a swing at it with scripture.

So George I understand that you had a say so in your natural birth?... You had no say so in your spiritual one either... Brother Glen:)

John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

3:8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

Btw George can you control the wind?... I didn't think so!

David had a son born out of adultery, who died, and yet was still with God!

Hebrews details to us that the way of salvation was always the same, as the sacrifices of and by themselves did not save any, but they had faith and trust in the coming messiah they all pointed towards!

That kind of argument is a logic taken to a non-scriptural extreme which can be easily flipped about on its head.

Only an uninformed Calvinist would claim Jesus and Paul disagreed.

That is what I said. But God's choice is on the basis of faith, 2 Thessalonians 2:13

it does? Election ,predestination, regeneration and then faith in Christ is the order of the salvation process there, so you do agree with paul now then?

I know they never did, but your theology would have them to be in disagreement!

On and on the Calvinists post false claims, fictions, misrepresentations and deflections. Romans 8 teaches God chooses individuals for salvation on the basis of faith. Regeneration follows being chosen, and faith is the basis of being chosen. Just read it folks.
